  1. You could contact the artist - J4Lackey (he posts here at VC) - maybe he has all 5 of them. They are so gorgeous! I love the way the 5 together form a hidden design. http://home.insightbb.com/~j4lackey/galleryTweedyPosters.html Wilcoworld store has 4 of the 5 posters there.

    Watt & Nels

I moved this to Just A Fan because Nels is definitely Wilco-related! I think I love that Bob Bruno T-shirt!
  3. Update Thursday: Our group has grown and the booth thing isn't working out at this point. Nicholson's is reserving a big table for 18 at 6:00 in the back room (like we did last time). The reservation is under my name. And just so you know, the later you are, the lesser the chance they'll be holding as many seats open for us. The show is nearly sold out. See you tomorrow! Oh! Don't forget to request your songs at Wilcoworld! http://www.wilcoworld.net/shows/request.php?s=231 Nicholson's Tavern & Pub (513) 564-9111 Across from The Aronoff downtown 625 Walnut St Cincinnati,
  4. Wow, you have been thinking about this a lot! Nice. Sounds like a labor of love, would love to see what develops! I'm a fan of the art/music books and actually own that Joseph Arthur book you mentioned. If you go the internet site route, maybe the guys at Glorious Noise http://www.gloriousnoise.com/ especially Derek Phillips could assist internet-wise. They are huge Jay Bennett fans and have written about him extensively over the years. I checked today, and the project that is raising money to have his latest LP released on Vinyl has raised only 19% of its goal. So that's one thing tha
  5. Thanks Ana - merged your thread into this ongoing one, so yes - we sure have been following this story. Lots of Finn Fans around Via Chicago. I watched the youtubes yesterday and I loved every minute of it and MUST watch it again sometime soon. I'm so thankful someone recorded it and uploaded it to youtube for us non-New-Zealanders to enjoy.
  6. "Leave Me Like You Found Me" for some reason - I haven't listened to that song for a long time but it was there in my head as I woke up this morning. Nice!
  7. OK, I checked in with Nicholson's and YES ... under-21 are allowed in the bar, you just cannot drink booze. I reserved several tables at 6:00. So we'll be in little clusters of 4, but all in the same area, so it should be easy to move around between tables to talk to each other. And FWIW, the menu online is not 100% accurate anymore, and the prices a little higher than what is posted online. And SURPRISE! Heather & Russ are coming from MD!
  8. How about meeting up at Nicholson's Tavern & Pub, literally right across the street from the Aronoff. We could all hang there until the last minute and walk across the street for the show. We did this the last time Wilco performed at the Aronoff and it worked out great. http://www.nicholsonspub.com/ Show starts at 8:00 and the opener is Heartless Bastards. Meet-up time will probably depend on when people are rolling into town, but if we want a big table, we'll have to reserve one in advance. I'm thinking 6:00, 6:30. From what I have heard, Heartless Bastards sound pretty good and
  9. http://illinoishomepage.net/content/fulltext/?cid=87192 A nice video tribute done by a TV station in Champaign/Urbana, includes Edward Burch and also Jay's brother. The text on the page is mostly a transcript of the video.
  10. Weird. I just moved upstairs to check this thread again on my work PC (it is IE6 and yes, this board sucks on IE6) ... and it also will not open on this PC.
  11. I use Vista (no service pack 1) and here's what I get when I try to read Lamrod's post. After I click on "ok" I get kicked out of the browser. What is it about that one thread that crashes my IE 7.0 browser? Any clue? I think I saw a video in there, so I wonder if there is something about the "insert media" button, if it was used, I don't know? http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/40196-jeff-tweedy-and-his-love-of-the-word-dream/
  12. Donna: It's sad, isn't it? I dunno, maybe that's the only Wilco video they have rights to or something. Pfft. Bad reporting though. Tharc003: I turned your links into videos, they are great. ShuckOwens: These are nicely done, thank you! Do you know the date and location of the performances?
  13. http://new.music.yahoo.com/wilco/news/ex-w...-dies--61989065 This Yahoo article has nothing new content-wise, but it does have a video embedded of Jeff, John, LeRoy, and Glenn performing Pot Kettle Black. Jay is not even in the video.
  14. like phonophore and redeyedandblue! Hope you ALL had a good day today!
  15. This is just brilliant Dreamin' Judy ... you always come up with the most perfect quotations! More from Greg Kot: http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/tur...t-19632009.html
  16. (just pasting this here because the rockproper label's blog in time will have other news and advertisements etc on its blog, but mostly because it is an awesome tribute no one should miss reading)
  17. You are not alone here Bhickman. We know how much Jay meant to you, so rest assured you're with kindred spirits at VC, and hang in there buddy. That was a nice memorial you wrote.
  18. Yes -- Sweet Relief! Thank you everyone. I hear ya but it's not really necessary at this time. You would be surprised how often people don't look at the pinned area and then would start a new thread. I feel pretty confident this thread will stay on the top of page 1 for a long time due to so many people caring about Jay and posting here about their feelings on his passing. We'll keep an eye on it.
  19. Yes, of course. I was referring to a charitable donation. In today's world, flowers don't really help much except look pretty for a day. People can do whatever they like. Wait for the family to designate a charity, or just do something important to YOU in Jay's name. It's all good.
