You know, this is what I wonder too. I sure hope so. I have tix for that show as well, and I just saw them twice with no new songs ... and I'm very much hoping that by the time of the Cinci show, Wilco will have streamed the new album on Wilcoworld so that everyone DOES have a chance to hear them, and will consider this the beginning of touring in support of the new CD. Yes. I definitely hope so, too!

I do love how you snuck in with that last "good bit" ... bit. Perfect!

I'm going to direct you to a new thread ... we have veered off course and perhaps it's time to start afresh in a new thread. This one is also getting pretty long and unwieldy. Continue the discussion here if you wish, although it seems you're at the agreeing-to-disagree point thankfully. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=39759

Dear Mr. Setlist Creator, Please do not let Glenn Kotche get bored with Wilco (The Setlist). Thank you! Yours Truly, Via Chicago (The Fans)

(just posting the actual Rolling Stone article here for the inevitable day when the link no longer works)

No kidding. I just saw Alejandro Escovedo at their tiny performance space and this is now my #2 favorite venue (The Ark at Ann Arbor being #1). I see they are expanding, too. OTS rules, and I'm with you, Tweedling - I wish I could be involved in such a fine institution.

He did bring it, I saw that amazing guitar work but I could not hear it well. So this concert was a big disappointment due to the uncharacteristically poor sound quality. I was 3rd row center balcony at The Vic, where I've sat many times and had great sound quality. However, I also admit in hindsight to prefering the not-so-rocking M. Ward, as the solo songs were fantastic. I will have to let the solo show I saw a couple years ago at Park West be the concert I prefer, and perhaps the last tour (which I missed seeing, where he had 2 percussionists) was the one I should have caught. Too muc

You gotta love Wilcobase 2007-10-10 - Wilco - Northrop Auditorium - University of Minnesota - Minneapolis, MN Plus sorta nearby 1 year ago: 2008-04-30 - Wilco - Mayo Civic Center - Rochester, MN

Definitely. Bhickman is spearheading something and will be getting back to us. And as Cryptique noted above, that conversation is found at that link, so I'll close this one.

Nudie has passed on, and his protegee and former employee Manuel might be the last of the great rodeo tailors. IMO it would be cool to check out his Nashville store and see some of these up close. good article here ... explains that he made the Flying Burrito Bros Nudie suits when he worked for Nudie. There's 2 good videos at manuel's website, although they loaded slowly for me. and here's a youtube just strolling through the store looking at the suits.

i'm 3 songs in ... liking this a lot. It's got a slower sweet & easy groove to it. I can see me playing this a lot more than other Son Volt.

... and one more thing. After reading the Jay Bennett needing hip replacement surgery thread, hearing about all this amp and drum kit jumping (and seeing it myself in B'ton or Knoxville or both I can't even remember) ... nooooooo! Please don't hurt yourselves!

I asked Jeff in line for the DVD signing one week ago today in Knoxville, and he said "still undecided." And yes it was Brianne who broke the "self-titled" title news today. Way to get the scoop, Brianne! I sorta hate saying this, but I'm a little skeptical that there really isn't a title other than "Wilco". And I apologize for being such a doubter, but it just seems ... wrong when a word guy doesn't name the album something/anything! Well, OK -- I guess that was taken already.

the thread that might help you the most would be the one called "Ashes DVD- Full Concert Download 4/18" http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=39432 especially around page 6. This post from Kristofor might help you. I was able to download after I re-registered under a different email address than the one I was apparently already registered with. Your success may depend on re-registering and making sure you chose "ashes" for the membership. Also, some people had problems with IE8 vs Firefox. So you may just have to keep trying. I'm not sure if you need to have the D

I'd love to see your list of all the albums made while artists were on hallucinogens and specifically designed for listeners on hallucinogens.

This is tough news to read ... but let us know what develops. Vibes to Jay on the surgery & rehab. If it's any consolation, hips are easier than knees recovery-wise!

I've never seen these before ... fascinating IMO.

I've seen them twice, hope to see them again some day.

Thanks for the photos & review! I'm seeing M Ward this weekend.

They actually played at our local punk bar in Fort Wayne and I really liked them. A lotta fun in the small club.

That's a great opener. Thanks for the head's up.

Oh ... my bad! I didn't even notice the bad spelling of the insultor. I figured it was over the "bare" with me thing.

Will you two be downloading the results of his efforts after you insult him?
