I have never paid any band store for extra-enhanced (extra $) fast shipping for preorders. The results have been varied, from being pleasantly surprised to get the CD on release date to sorta pissed 5+ days after release date. ("MusicToday = MusicSomeday" was a joke on VC at one point in time). So you are buying a delivery date promise with your $21. It may or may not be necessary.

let's just keep it to one thread ... http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=39452

A lot of the participating record stores do internet sales. Call one today and find out if they'll post an order for you. Why any record store would NOT want to make a sale (if they have the merchandise) is beyond me in this economy. Try the ones in bigger cities near you first. http://www.recordstoreday.com/Venues

Ahhhhh! Kim beat me to it! Bryan! We don't see you enough, dude!

Are there any rules about where a band can play beofre and after Bonnaroo? I know with Lollapalooza, they had some sort of "can't play anywhere within 500 miles 1 month before and 1 month after ... " type of thing (don't quote me on that clause, it's just an example of a restriction a band accepted when they agreed to play Lolla).

yes, I see it now. It's on the main page, and on the lower right hand side, a rotating "marquee" of info. If you wait long enough, it eventually rotates to say this: "Webcast live from Milwaukee - Wednesday, April 15" and then if you click on those words at that moment, it takes you here, to the roadcase, which is not set up yet: http://wilcoworld.net/roadcase/index_tanglewood.php

It's true! Well, the dead part anyway.

Loophole looker!!! Nah, I'm pretty sure you know how to interpret that.

Maybe you're right, SS. I thought it was Matt Lauer at first glance. But hey Spawn, that's way cool to be at such an intimate show, right up front etc ... I'll have to check out this band. Thanks for the links. BTW, you all look very comfortable!

Have any of the MusicToday Presale Tickets Shipped yet?
Wendy replied to frogwater's topic in Just A Fan
All these posts about tickets not arriving yet got me worried too - until I remembered I got shut out for the MusicToday presale for Knoxville, and bought mine at the regular onsale which was not Ticketmaster, but some local deal in Knoxville (Knoxville Tickets?) and I already have all the eTickets! So we're good to go! -

According to Wilcoworld.net tours page, Wilco is now using Frontgate Tickets for all presale tickets ... so maybe we can hope for better service than MusicToday. -
I am so ready for this show! 1. Pre-show meetups anywhere? 2. This show is happening on record store day, and I'd sure like to know where I can pick up a few items (i.e. new Wilco DVD duh!!! ). Which is the best record store participating? 3. I'm thinking about Pricelining a hotel, and they ask what section of town? I have no idea!!! Thanks for any help! Can't wait to see/meet a bunch of you guys!

I always enjoy seeing Margot etc. They are really fun. I knew nothing about them a couple years ago when thisyearsgirl and I went to see Rogue Wave and Margot etc were opening ... what an amazing surprise! So many musicians crammed on stage performing well-written pop songs. Loved it.
