  1. My desktop background for the past 15 months has been a picture of Jeff and I from the Tanglewood show. One of my friends moved in with me this past April. I didn't find out until two months later, on my birthday, that she had been going along assuming that Jeff was the new b/f that she hadn't met yet! I guess she was a little confused at my birthday dinner...lol
  2. Some of you may remember seeing me write about these lovely fellas before and here I am again. This is a very talented, creative, unique trio. They list some of their influence as: The Beatles, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Wilco, The Jayhawks, George Jones, Johnny Cash, The Who, ad infinitum... Sooo...sounds like OUR kind of music, eh?!? If you're in the area and want to come down and check 'em out, I promise you will NOT be disappointed! This Thursday, October 29th 8:30p-11p Club Oasis @ London Billiards 70 James St Worcester, MA Here's a sneak preview: covering S
  3. I could totally watch JUST Glenn for a night, as well. I guess we all basically did when he opened for Jeff's solo tour back in '05. It was my 1st time seeing Glenn and I was COMPLETELY blown away! As for the eyes meeting, when I saw the full band in CT in Feb '08 it was very....whoa! Not only were we front row, not only was I RIGHT IN FRONT of Jeff (actually a tad to his right) but there was no security or photography row. We were less than a foot away from each other. So we not only caught eyes on many occasion, but he often leaned over and spoke to my friend and I in between songs and suc
  4. My b/f and his band performed this last week. I apologize the audio itself is a little off. I think I was too close to the speaker. I got goosebumps, TWICE...ankles to wrists thinking of Natalie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUCp5hilo3g
  5. This morning, I heard 'You Never Know' on 92.5 The River in Boston
  6. Wow...sorry to hear, Noam. Good luck...with ALL of it!!!
  7. This was my 1st Paul McCartney show (Beatle show of any kind). It was beyond words. The most amazing and incredible thing I've ever seen and yes, for a 67 yr old he still packs quite the punch. My top three moments (can't pick just one), 'Something' (for George - I was a crying mess), 'Hey Jude' and 'Give Peace a Chance' (for John) - this one was a goosebump experience for sure. I've NEVER been a part of anything like that in my life. The whole crowd singing...no music...just beautiful...*sigh* I am so lucky to have been able to be there!
  8. Hello Misswe, Laurie and Barb! No, Laurie, no band encounter but the time was well spent making all sorts of new friends!!!
  9. You are correct. He's been performing those moves all week. It's pretty adorable stalker = determined fan Of all my shows this week, this is the only one I really had the chance to TRY to see them afterward.
  10. Portland's started around 3:45p. Gates were at 6p. I think it does depend on the venue tho. I was lucky enough to be invited to one in Boston in '07 and it was at 3p.
  11. That INDEED was a killer combo!!! I had my belongings in hand as 'Poor Places' was ending so I could go join the crowd for 'Spiders'. It's always a MUST for me Thank you Dan & Scott for the kind words. You both are two of the kindest gents and I'm very lucky to be able to call you "friends". Scott just wanted to let you know it wasn't just a "running into" tho. We PLANNED it so that we didn't miss each other!!! Dan was even kinder and friendlier IRL!!! This show was incredible as were Portland, Brooklyn and Lowell (all for many different personal reasons). It's so great to see Jeff ha
  12. Last night's show was pretty incredible as all have said here. I was kind of surprised by the "repeat" for the most part of the Lowell show. But ONLY BECAUSE I swear I read somewhere before the tour started that Glenn was quoted saying they were going to "be mixing things up a bit". But it's alright. I am NOT complaining, just commenting. I'm getting to see Wilco four times in eight days so what the heck is there to complain about, right?!? I love how much more relaxed and happy Jeff seems to be, like he's actually having fun and realizing it's "okay", ya know?!? Thank goodness their jumbo s
  13. And, yes, Nels is on the list...to SEE, not to, ummm, well you know
  14. While I'm only in Massachusetts, the only time I've spent in Portland proper was at a camp deep in the woods as a kid. We're going up a day early to take a look around. So any suggestions on any must-do's, see's or eat's?!?
  15. Handshake Drugs - I even find, if I'm driving in my car, that if I stopped singing...I re-start it to make sure I sing EVERY word. Dorky, I'm well aware
  16. Not "bumping" officially as my post was still at the top So we're heading to the city now and won't have online access until after the show. Obviously, since the show is sold out we won't have a problem unloading our extras but we'd rather see them go to a VC-er, if possible. We're looking for face + fees. We'll be down there probably by 5p or thereabouts so we can meet anytime up until say 7p. These are field tix. I know this is unusual but I did it two years ago and it worked out fine. So if you're interested call or text me at 508-414-9449. Rock On, Ellen aka WW
  17. We've got a couple of extra tickets for Brooklyn, just looking for face plus fees. We'll be in the area around 4/5pm so can meet up whenever. elgiggles@hotmail.com
  18. I, personally, LOVED the fact that it rained. (I am sad to know I missed 'Magazine' but this experience was SOOO worth it!!!) I'm actually going to see four shows this week w/ the b/f and I told him before I hope it rains once but if it does I hope it's at the "home" show. So I got my wish... I thought the guys did an A-MA-ZING job! It was great to hear all the new stuff live. I like how Jeff thought when we were stomping our feet (in the bleachers) it was thunder. Turned out to be kind of funny since the lightning and rain followed shortly after. I went down front for 'Spiders' and 'Hummin
  19. Now 31 counts?!? Really?!? That is the like collection of latest radio hits, right?
