  1. Not sure if these qualify but I've always liked the change ups if both of them. 100 Years Ago- The Rolling Stones Rocket Queen- GNR
  2. So at 12:00 am tonight can we access the audio files?
  3. Figured it out. On a Mac it's control-right click, download linked file as....whatever. My bad. Sorry to bother you guys, it was driving me crazy. Anyway If you've heard this, discuss.
  4. http://www.aquariumdrunkard.com/2009/03/02...-music-sampler/ I just found this today and have listened to some of it. It sounds great but I can't figure out how to save the mp3 files on my computer so I can burn a disc and take it to work. I've emailed the guy behind the site and he says just save the mp3 files to your desktop or anywhere else you like but i'll be damned if I can figure out how. I thought maybe someone here could help.
  5. Track # 10 Untitled is what my heaven is going to sound like.
  6. Wow, Wilco, Dylan and The Beatles all in one year. Hope my job lasts through September.
  7. I couldn't find this show on The Owl and the Bear. Could someone possibly hook me up?
  8. Quick download question. When downloading from the Owl and the Bear onto a Mac, do you have to download each flac individually? This takes a long time. Am I doing this the hard way?
  9. I just pre-ordered the DVD and watched the Monday free download. What an adrenaline rush. I can't wait. Shit, it's to early to feel this way. I was trying to not think to hard on the new album. I thought the DVD would slake my thirst but I have a feeling it's just going to add fuel to the fire.
  10. A bad Wilco album is still better than a great (insert artist here) album. Wilco is a part of my family and we enjoy every single song on every album. It'll be a sad day if they ever break up but if they do we'll be eagerly awaiting all of the subsequent solo albums. Talk hard Jeff!!
  11. The "Wilco" sound has been different with every incarnation, so Leroy was essential to that "Wilco" sound. I liked them best during this era as well.
  12. They're a great live band. I saw them quite a few times here in Austin during their Rubberneck heyday. I'm not into that type of music anymore but I sure would go and see them again. I'm sure I could muster some angst.
  13. I've been listening to Pandemonium Shadow Show and Aerial Ballet since Friday. Jesus this guy is good. I can't believe I hadn't heard of Nilsson before this forum. I'll rank all the albums I have so far. 1. Aerial Ballet 2. Pandemonium Shadow Show 3. Nilsson Schmilsson 4. Son of Schmilsson Got Harry/Nilsson sings Newman and Scaddo/The Point coming from Amazon. Man his vocals are amazing and I love his scatting at the end of his songs. It's all pure ear candy so far.
  14. The story that I heard, as hard as it is to believe, is that Faith Hill had never even heard Joplin's version of Piece of My Heart and she wanted to record it without hearing it so as not to bias her one way or the other. P.S. Billy Joe Shaver is my dad's first cousin. He was recently indicted for shooting a guy in the face. He got in a bar fight in my home town of Lorena, Tx. That's real country(ha, ha). I think the best album Waylon ever did was an album of Billy Joe covers called Honky Tonk Heroes.
  15. That's what I'm thinking. I listened to some snippets of Harry last night and they sounded pretty damn good.
  16. Come on Pop Todd. What's the verdict?
  17. So I've got enough money for either Harry / Nilsson Sings Newman or Skidoo / The Point. Which One?
  18. Well there you go. It's funny that I read that into the article. I guess Baez kinda gets on my nerves.
