  2. is the album vastly different from the "single" on her website?
  3. Broken Hearts & Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine great stuff
  4. Definitely search out Volebeats. I like Outrageous Cherry quite a bit but the Volebeats gets more spins in my world. Glad to see them get some notoriety. Tweedy is a big fan.
  5. Really liking the closing track... Good Enough.
  6. This does not thrill me. Where did you hear/read this? I really dig these guys.
  7. yeah, i'm lukewarm on the guy myself but he peaks my interest from time to time. That band looks great. Hope he's on to something here.
  8. Just heard Laredo on the radio in Chicago, 93.1. Maybe they don't know the words?
  9. yes, the video looks good. Looking forward to this.
  10. Right where it belongs. These two should tour together.
  11. oh man, I'd love to hear their take on it. I am loving the new album. It is likely my favorite of theirs. I definitely like it better than the last one. edit... here's a nice version: BoH Can't Hardly Wait You tube
  12. Glenn. He was talking about giving Glenn the boot.
  13. Yes, probably my only complaint about the new one. I like it quite a bit. With the exception of a couple of songs (including title track), I listen to it quite a bit. That said, the absence of banjo is sorely missed.
  14. All of this! Langhorne Slim is an underrated artist. Love his stuff. Mumford & Sons is less on the bluegrassy stuff and heavier on the indie but they do bring the banjo. Deer Tick Born on Flag Day and their EP are great stuff. You may also like some early Marah and maybe some AA Bondy.
  15. Can't do a whole lot of arguing with that list. I absolutely love the new one but don't necessarily think it's the place to start. Oh, and the guy can sing... not everyone's bag, but he can sing.
  16. man, he's frustrating. just string a big one together, Bob. Maybe a GBV reunion is in order. Too soon?
