How many concerts do you attend in a normal year?
ditty replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
I used to go to 21-30 shows a year. That's dwindled down to 6-10 shows a year now. Maybe mid teens if Wilco is on an album tour. I'm at 557 shows now. I have EVERY ticket stub along with paper promo adds, previews and reviews going back to 1983 in 9 scarp books. Sadly the BS and ticket prices keeps me away from many shows I would have attended 10 years ago. -
Loving their sound, thanks for the heads up!

How Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy Learned To Grow Up And Start Firing His Friends

"Touring expenses, which for Wilco’s domestic gigs include two buses and a crew of about 20, typically run about 60 percent of gross, according to Pollstar’s Bongiovanni." -

Anyone in the Chicagoland area know if we will get an announcemnt of this rumored show this week now that the AmericanaramA show is past? The Chicago Park Events Page doesn't give me much hope as I can't find anything tenatively reserved anymore. Thx

As mentioned in another tread, don't be late. Richard Thmpson came on right at 5:30 and played for a half hour. The set changes are crazy fast. It's amazing to see the roadies work so quick! MMJ was great, no messing around on this tour with 75 minutes to kick butt and leaving you wanting more. Unfortunaly for Wilco we had a 15 minute delay. The Wilco crew worked hard and fast to figure out the issue. Fortunatley we only lost 5 minutes of the set, unfortunatley for me that was "Dream In My Dreams" that I vote for profusly at every show I attend. If you want to hear this song, make sure

Spot on, Richard Thompson and MMJ are great and shouldn't be missed. They rocked We were between Nels and Jeff, would have been nice to meet you, maybe next time? Isn't It A Pitty was worth the drive alone from Indy Volume banter: Male fan - "turn it up" Jeff - "your just deaf after MMJ" Female fan "turn it up" Jeff - "were not here to entertain you" "I'm not in control of the volume, we have a house guy for that, Stan has been with us for a long time" Richard Thompson was once again introduced by Jeff as "My new best friend". The smiles and grins between Nels and Richard Tho
