The lovely Shelley Short opened with a 20 min set that showcased her incredible voice. She struggled at times with her guitarwork, but more than made up for it with her singing.

I don't know about everyone else, but here are my four reasons.

I read somewhere that the song is a favorite of Conan's. The re-working of it was a pleasant surprise! I also got to watch it with my best friend, so that made it even better. Thanks jack & meg!

After listening to the vinyl version of Oh Lonesome Me, I must retract my original opinion of the song and say that Lucinda in fact did a great job. My wife still doesn't like it, but the Lp version seems to soften the "dying alley-cat howl". Honestly, when I heard it initially on NPR, I was embarrassed for her. Guess I'm relying too much on my computer speakers! My bad.
