Has everyone met my new best friend, deepseacatfish? btw, first time I ever used a slide. We make it up as we go and are just working out some chops here and there on the weekend. If I had a more formal music education, maybe our songs would have more structure. Everything we do is spontaneous, so jamming would indeed be fun. Lamrod, if I remember right you considered my suggestion of Magic Angle Artifact for a band name, no? mmmmm......Maybe it would be a better album title.

Yes, he won't be really famous until the 2010 Grammy's.

Wow, I just found the lyrics to all the songs. Add Jailbird & One Hundred Million Years, too. The more I listen to this, the more I like it! I'm really starting to see the beauty of Blake's View. His delivery is especially good on that one and I've always respected his ability to blend hope and warmth when writing about the coldness of death.

If I put this record on right now, my wife would break into song and I'd probably get laid! .......hasta la vista! -
Dude. Next time we see them, if you don't ask about UT & Wilco, I will. As far as jay's pouty appearance, wasn't that the cool way to act at the time? Indifferent and angry? Sulky? Jeff looks like a fuckin' rock star!!

>Is it just me or is this his most openly religious record yet. I know heaven has always been a major theme but there are quite a few references to the church, god, and heaven. Any thoughts? It doesn't appear to be more than usual, but I'll listen more closely. I couldn't help but notice Shangri-La almost immediately. These types of songs are a big reason why I like him so much. Here are a few other references he has done before. And the lord of lords, he laid out a feast, He said "listen to me boys, this will be last one of these, So you better get to the table, get to the table on
