Shit!! I just watched that about two months ago, I knew it was familiar. So, who is starting the trivia thread?

Do you guys remember when we talked about a band named Wilco, haha? This is going to get awkward........

Ok, I think you have just broken my brain. I am going to have some more beer and try not to think about this, at the risk of going crazy.......

"Sorrow" absolutely breaks me...... wow

SHIT!! I know this, it's driving me crazy.... Will you tell us soon???

I think that might be right. I know it's in a movie I have seen recently. I collect dysfunctional relationships with women, apparently. Yup, it's the truth. I am writing the best songs I have ever written now though, so that is some good consolation......

bands you might listen to more if they had a different singer
Lynch replied to Atticus's topic in Someone Else's Song
Ok, alot of people whose opinions I really respect love their new album. I know some of their older stuff and I could tolerate it, a couple of songs I liked. So, on that note, I listened to High Violet today. Their performance of the song "Runaway" showed up in one of my YouTube searches, I watched and listened, and I was floored. I am in love with this album! Therefore, I rescind my vote for The National. -
This will give a subdued note to the day for me. I always loved him in movies. He was a guy that always lit up the screen for me, really grabbed my attention.

Very well put Lou. I was thinking about the scene in "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" a couple of days ago, where Jeff and Jay are playing Car's Can't Escape. Just a beautiful, touching scene. Two great musicians doing what they do best.

Um, I believe he goes by Big Buff these days!!!

Going to the movies with an old friend, who just happens to be cute as a button (and single;)). I will wear my lucky Wilco shirt for the occasion.....

The Ballad Of El Goodo...... over and over and over and over........

Yeah, that is just..... stunning. Seeing Recchi after the game complaining about the too many men call made me laugh. I mean, c'mon! You lose 4 straight, and blow a 3-0 in a game 7. You have no one to blame but yourselves.

I just finished that, and I loved it. It was not at all like I expected it to be, and a very entertaining read! Now Reading:

Being stuck on evening shift sucks this time of year. I am thinking about calling in sick for game 7 on Wednesday.........

I have been on the fence about seeing this movie, but due to some great reviews by people whose opinions I respect, I will hopefully check it out this weekend. I have been in the mood for a good western lately anyway. On a sidenote, a friend of mine could have been a extra in this movie when they were filming in Winnipeg but he ended up not going. I still give him a hard time about that, haha.

Yeah, there is something magical about hearing the Hip at a hockey game. I saw their last show at the old Winnipeg Arena and they changed the words in Fifty Mission Cap from "Leafs" to "Jets", it was so sweet! It should be a great, hard-fought game tonight. It will be interesting to see how Luongo responds after Friday's shelling.

Winnipeg's own Jonathan Toews with a HAT-TRICK!!!! Go Hawks! And, wow do these teams hate each other, haha.

Yup, matches the lyrics I just googled. Thanks alot! I am in love with this song.

I went through this exact thing after my last show. I became very disenchanted with writing and music in general. I had no idea what I wanted to listen to. What got me through my funk is reading Jeff Buckley's bio "Dream Brother", many long walks, and remembering why I got into playing guitar, making music and writing in the first place. Just for my own enjoyment and to keep myself sane. I completely understand the frustration of comparing yourself to your favorite artists as well. You listen to them or see them live and think "what the hell is the point of me doing this, I can't get to tha
