  1. FYI, Jambase is showing three confirmed acts and days for Solid Sound Festival. Start with the Mavis Staples piece on how Tweedy influenced it, production, etc. and then see her summer dates for Solid sound info. Mavis and Mountain Man are Saturday headline (if not Wilco) and Avi Buffalo is playing Sunday at at some point. I'd love to see Wilco 3 nights in a row! Fingers crossed.
  2. I appreciate and respect your opinion, Analogmoon. I think it goes back to the days of trading Dead tapes. Those shows were only meant to be shared and tape recorded if anything. It was respectable and familial to do so. Great recording job since the Webfeed went out, doubt we will ever see the SB for this one.
  3. No, I would never yell such a thing, and screw those who did. I started the "Cahn-cad" yelling when Jeff messed up the pronounciation after Radio Cure. Basically, Chicago and West of the Mississippi have trouble pronouncing our locales just like we (not me) can't pronounce their's. Like retards who say OR-A-GONE instead or Orugun!
  4. Thanks so much to the folks responsible for putting this up, it sounds really good. It always brings a smile to my face to hear myself sceaming while being recorded.
  5. Can't find it on Etree, any chance I could get a link or upped on Bt.etree. Would love a live show I from my hometown. Thanks!
  6. I can't even do the poll right, meant to pick SWS and instead got shake it off. I always like the seedy side of things best.
  7. No yocal here, but I am staying at Clarksburg so that I CAN mtn bike or long board to the festie. Savoy is up a large harpin hill that does not look fun to bike home after a long day. No idea about the other campgrounds in town, although others are making contact with the Windsor Town Campground alas. BTW, how many municipalities have campgrounds funded and staffed by the Town? Awesome! Not even in the sticks here in NH do we have these services. Not sure about the fising at Clarksburg, it could be good but its a rough pond with no defined edge, a canoe would help. I will bring my rods
  8. I am so pumped for this festival, the first true Wilco fest! Fantasy band camp will be a blast. FYI, The picture of my avatar is of an old mixing board at the entrance to Mass Moca. Anyways, just wanted to let all know there are still camping spots available at Clarksburg State Park, 3.5 miles from the venue. At $14 a night with showers and bikeable from town, its a no brainer for me. It seems closer to town with several direct road accesses, closer than Savoy Mt. I got one of the last lake side spots but there are 50% of sites left. I will be there all weekend and having friends and fam
  9. I know its a few days late but I wanted to give a brief review of my hometown experience in "Cahn-Cahd", as I was screaming so intently to Jeff that he could hear it. That was my funniest moments as he couldn't hear me the first time but then someone onstage clued him in and he got it right after a couple tries. "you guys can just change the name of a town whenever you want?", of course Jeff its New England where nothing sounds as it looks! But anyways, the sound, the sound, the sound...the abosulte goddam best sound quality show I have heard other than Shelburne for some reason. Not even T
  10. U2roolz, out of respect because you are human and you are entitled to your opinions, but I take offense to your pot comment. Just a reminder that you were in Mass where its decrimed and you were at a Wilco show where pot is/was a theme whether you like it or not. FYI, Its gonna stink tonight too in Concord and U2 does not rule! Here you have MY opinion. Great show nonetheless, I must be high!!!
  11. Roadhse ma, its gonna be an hour and half to two hours from boston during rush hour. That being said, be on 93 by 5 or 5:30, your gonna be in the height of it for sure. Again, parking seems to be confusing but there are lots of street parking, no meters after 5 or 6pm. You could literaly walk end to end on main street and find parking spots to go to the show. But again, the Catholic Church a block away behind a barber and you can park there for free after you genenuflect (sp?) the altar, kidding. No, they really don't care as long as you don't tailgate. For drinks, the Green Martini is t
  12. I should have waited before posting, my upgrade was just a downgrade. Oh well, at least we have a center view now. I was hoping for folding seats between the front row and stage, oh well.
  13. So pumped for this show in my hometown! So, my buddy has been contacted by the Center regarding a ticket upgrade. We have tickets in the forth row to the side, but now because Wilco has too much stuff onstage, we are now being moved to much better seats! This is why I love seeing shows at this place, the people there take music seriously and want you to have the best possible experience. My first show ever was at the Center seeing Joan Jett and Cheap Trick double bill back in 1982, take it for what its worth. Dark Star, Yes, Feist and others have made for memorable times for sure. FYI, i
  14. Cheers to that, I was completely drenched even though it was beautiful day!!! Maine, the right coast California!
  15. This album is amazing, every Wilco fan should run to their nearest record store and get it. This is exactly what I wanted to hear from Wilco the back-up band. Its super trippy with killer synths/guitar (nels), showcases all members (and more with Tweedy's kid on drums) and shows just how talented they all are for pulling this off in one day! Nels and Mikael rip some underlying solos amazingly. Its definately better than the original for what that's worth. Like everyone has been saying, its more interesting reading about the album than listening to the original. Beck, Wilco, Fiest and Jas
  16. Yes! A Cracker string. Cracker has always been one of my favorite bands ever because they make music that the want to make not what the label wants. I see them everytime they come around New England which is usually twice a year. Seen them many times coast to coast. The last one was in Cambridge this summer, they sounded good and loud (I always forget earplugs). The new stuff is awesome live and they always play the hits. Highlights were: Hey Brett, Time Machine, Thistle Pie, Big dipper, shake some, I could be wrong, ETG, Low, Teen Angst, Happy B-day, Flower power, and Riverside.
  17. In 1983, definately "B". Now that I am old, I'd pull a "C" like in Maine. Don't fight and they won't bother you. I just had to pull another one out and light it up, always bring a back-up!
  18. Here are some pics and a couple quick notes. http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa132/aarongagne/Wilco%20Portland/ Highlights: $5 magic hat beer, tiny location, meeting the band, seeing the soundcheck, lobsta roll, good weather, great audience, ferries of people going crazy in and out all night (especially during Jesus), overall "pungent odor" (maine is the place for shows), my kind trade and his friends, women!
  19. I have one extra ticket to Portland that I would rather trade to a VCer than sell out front. Preferably, I'd like a "kind", medical grade trade. If you don't have that, perhaps you have some nice, quality art or Wilco swag (lowell poster would be nice) that I might want. Hit me up and find out. chrondo_calrizzi@yahoo.com
  20. For libations go to http://brianboruportland.com/. They have a rooftop bar that is packed every weekend.
  21. Baystock.com is the only place to get an idea of the scene for Pier Revue shows. You can see the stage, views, and the fact that its not in the warehouse next door. Well, hopefully not in the warehouse anyways.
  22. Seeing as how we sold two tickets to scalpers at Lowell for Portland, there is a very good chance that scalpers will be there. We saw many scalpers at the Lowell show, lots of tickets available on the street and many less than face. I might have one extra but won't know until tomorrow for sure.
  23. Praying for no rain...I for one cannot afford anymore "rain dances" as JT would say. It will be a beautiful back drop if the Sun shines. I wonder what they are doing in the 3 days between shows, Acadia, NYC or Chi Town?
  24. Hell Yeah! He was on fire as always saturday.
  25. Sweet thread! After all the name calling and insults perhaps someone can get around to a decent review of the show. It was Wilco for christsakes! I love Wilco but hate seeing them anywhere in MA thanks to the junk show that is Massachusetts (if you live in New England you understand). Lowell and Tanglewood were fine examples of this junk show of joey-bag-o-donuts from RI, guido/wannabe models straight out of the North End, people who can't mind their own business while texting, pushy, egocentric cops and hipster/yupster daddies trying to show their kids they can be cool (see, I can shit-ta
