  1. I do love me some Deal! And I'll bet Satisfaction was good too.
  2. Yes, of course I meant NFA. I'd seen the Dead with Jerry 25-30 times, I'm no stranger to Space and noodling. Maybe age has taken away my attention span, maybe I'm not doing the right drugs anymore. Whatever, the 1st set was much better, the 2nd got away from them and the audience too. $100? I can't do it twice.
  3. I couldn't listen last night, I was passed out at 8:30 trying to recover from the night before in Albany. I'm not going to bother putting this in the After section, only you folks will be interested. It was OK. The crowd was really good, actually. I was expecting a lot of youths on X, but it was a good, well behaved, but exuberant bunch. Sound sucked near the back, we went up front for the rest of the first set, then to the 2nd row for the beginning of the 2nd. 1st set was quite good, high point being Sugaree. 2nd set was a little weaker, got a little dragged out, not sure who they wer
  4. I'm going to Albany tomorrow night. I'll report back.
  5. What else do you know about this? It's my daughter's birthday, and while I wouldn't take her to a proper show, I might be able to justify it if its family friendly.
  6. From your keyboard to whoever does the booking.....
  7. I wonder about this myself for all of these baseball field shows. I'll probably make 2 of these, but nothing close enough. All would require an overnight.
  8. I bought tickets for albany on friday.
  9. I'd be interested in hearing a review from here. I'm trying to decide if Friday night in Albany is worth my time and money.
  10. I didn't know about the early one and only saw the 2nd. Grrr. I'm not as enamoured with this season has I have in the past, but it is still better than 90% of what is out there.
  11. You are one step ahead of me, Maggie. Can you check the schedule for Tanglewood for me?
  12. What?! no mention of them being slightly tear stained?
  13. I put in my request. I don't have very high expectations.
  14. I haven't heard this Sugaree, but I will say in general I don't care for Warren's voice. In fact, I'd probably be a bigger fan of Gov't Mule if he'd keep his mouth shut. Again, I have not heard the version of Sugaree that you speak of.
  15. If that is true, I'm going to have a husband and some friends who are going to have some serious time on their hands come March. And some extra cash in their pockets.
  16. My husband and I are fans of both. I am the bigger Wilco fan and he is the bigger Radiohead fan. We've been happily married for almost 16 years, but this makes me wonder: Are we doomed? Should I get the divorce attorney on retainer now?
  17. Wow. wow. That exceeded expections. Great, great music and lots of fun banter. I'm so glad I'm going tonight too. Paul, nice to finally meet you.
  18. I'm having dinner with friends, but if there's time we'll stop into the Tunnel Bar for one beforehand. If tonight is anything like last night, ohh boy, are we in for a treat.
  19. Finally a movie I'll want to watch as much as the kids.
  20. OK,OK, I was typing by the seat of my pants. Let me amend my response. I didn't have access to college radio during high school, so I'll say that anything being played on my local radio station that came out in 1987 is on my list. WOUR certainly wasn't playing the Replacements. As for Joshua Tree, my freshman roommate played it incessantly. Seriously, from when she got up for her fucking 8 am classes until she went to bed at night. She played it as she was falling asleep. It was good for the first 800 times, then it got a little old. It was her only CD. Actually she may have had it on
  21. Well, Huey Lewis was better than a lot of what was coming out then. The late 80's really sucked. I can't think of anything that came out my senior year of high school that I would listen to today. In fact, that is my list of songs that make me want to lay down and die. Everything that was played on the radio (WOUR 96.9, Utica, NY) in 1987.
