Thank you, Jimmy Coulas for the heads -up rumour ! Once I heard Lin Brehmer would be making a Major announcement to the Hideout lineup @ 8:20; I bought some 2 day passes @ 7:45 AM. Wilcoworld.net is finally listing the event. 9 / 14 & 15 I'm wondering if both nights or just Saturday headliner.

It is wonderful to tune in and catch up on the latest about Wilco happenings. From Grammy Mccar greetings to MMA 3 and even WGN weathman... It's interesting that Jeff has lately refered to Wilco as being a "pop" band. Freedom to play all popular genres? ( lets hope/ sky is the limit ). The expanding scope of Wilco's music influence is evident in the R&B/ Blues arena with the Mavis Staples up coming show with JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound as opener. ( of course with JC Brooks' blues cover of IATTBYH )

The crowd was really quiet. Fantastically quiet. Didn't Jeff comment on that? " You guys are really quiet, it's weird."

What great time! : venue > crowd > setlist ! Via Chicago is the Best website. Thanks to all VC contributors / collaborators : you make every fan feel tuned in. It's funny that when Jeff "scolded" a person named Lou last night; I kinda knew right then it was LouieB. ( im guessin it was his turn? Bless 'em )

The full-band-accoustic-arraingment for Spiders was amazing . Perfect for this room. Amazing effort, This crowd loved it.

Great Show! If only every venue could be like this... We arrived at showtime after barbeque and were amongst the last to arrive. In the back of the room and could still see that "bob" on Jeff's every fifth guitar! Jeff asked what she was ranting about. As she passed by me on the way out was ranting,:"What about the 99?" She was loud and defiant. Smiling saying next stop: Oakland !! Crazy rides rockets ..

That brought alotta laughs off camera! Fun stuff. I was wondering when Jeff referred to the 7 day forcast as optimistic; was the Mayan calendar deal running through his head? lol 7 day forcast would've taken us to 12/22/2011 :]

Thanks to all for all the reviews, setlists and insights! Especially Flying Burrito Bro for extensive research/reporting!! I have tics for the 2nd and Final Chicago shows and appriciate songlist updates. I know all setlists may fly out the Window in Dec/Chicago on any given night. However, "Banter Corner" is priceless !!

Today's gem of the day: I called the Front Line "800" number and got 2 pre-sale tickets! I had to be at work at 4pm and away from 'puter. I called the 1-800# at 3pm and was able to glean that there was a 2 minute preamble/babble recording before speaking to an operator. I called at 3:58pm and got through and had to make small talk for 30 secs until service rep's computer screen could take my info! Presto!! Good Luck to all Wilco fans! P.S. I had no such luck with the Civic Opera show!( no really! ) I'd love to find at least 1 (one!) ticket for Monday's show... Pls send PM to Jcamp if any

Jcamp replied to EatMorePez's topic in After The Show
Loved this show ! starting with the departure of the norm tour setlist and playing with the fun and abandon of being the last gig on this leg of tour: the flow was easy and they hit on all cylinders! -
I prefer Tom Robbins to Tony Robbins !! Thank you for such a wonderful and hilarious thread. Was the long long wait for Chicago shows intentional as to be after the mid-October official Olympic 2016 host city announcement ? I'm hopin' to see Wilco at the Auditorium in late Nov
