  1. Seeing Ohmme perform for a second time was fantastic. I enjoyed The Hideout show about a year ago. Hamilton sound, vocal harmonics amazing. . Looking forward to Ottawa and Montreal.
  2. This may have been the best Jeff show that I've ever attended. (Sorry for the delay, but a one hitter wasn't the culprit! ~ ). The singing was great. The sound was great. The crowd was silent during the songs and robust with applause in between. Jeff was clearly having fun from the get go. Jeff laughed off a lyric flub during ITMWLY but it was still awesome. The crowd did start barking out requests during the encore, but that's not much of a surprise. Some musical highlights for me were: Vocals on You and I, Reservations and Let's Go Rain. The latter in which he evoked the crowd to sing
  3. Please inform with availability..
  4. That's fantastic news!! Wish I attended. So, I suppose Scott was Saturday's special guest? Special, indeed.
  5. Awesome photos! We love you, Scott!
  6. I marvel with every performance of Locator. Both solo and Wilco. It continues to get better and better... Perhaps a detailed review is imminent and I'd be happy to add onto that. A comedic moment included Jeff's sister sneaking up on him, in the past, onstage and spooking him while he was 'Rocking out'. Aside from some echo/reverb issues on the Nels side, the air was crisp. Very clean sound. From the 3rd row, you could hear JT's shoe tapping the floor. And that probably aired through the entire room. It's difficult to gauge the capacity of the Foellinger Great Hall vs. the capacity for the Kra
  7. This year was the best one yet! What a great time.. I took the survey. Best in show other than Wilco: Kevin Morby. Suggestions to improve: Same as last survey, extend the shuttle to Williamstown motels first and foremost. And also to bring back the lobster mac n cheese and make it a staple in the Courtyard C menu. It was incredibly delicious in 2015.
  8. Sounds like a great idea, Diane. I'll give you a shout as soon as I land in Albany. Appx 12:45pm.
  9. This sounds good, Donna. I suppose I'll you there about 4:30 Friday afternoon for starters.. Hi all, I'm Joe and I'll be attending with my cousin Jim. We'll arrive from Chicago early Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to meeting old friends and new. In 2015, I was looking forward to seeing the Van Gogh exhibit at The Clark Art Institute on the way out of town, the Monday after SSF. But the The Clark is closed on Mondays until July. This baffles me with the certain surge of tourists that SSF offers. I have a decent chance of making it to The Clark this year for the current Picasso exhib
  10. Logistics, weather and scheduling. Let's hope for the best! Opening with Misunderstood's opening lyric of," Back in my old neighborhood" is as appropriate and awesome as the Friday's Request Show opener of the Boys Are Back In Town... good times.
  11. Thanks for sharing. I've enjoyed viewing all of these artists. Saturday will be very busy. I'm looking forward to seeing Kevin Morby. Big Thief and Deep Sea Diver as well. I'm hoping that the scheduling allows being able to catch all of these acts!
  12. Hi moderators, sorry for the duplicity of this topic. Perhaps incorporate these threads...
  13. How is this possible? I literally just fast forwarded on DVR his performance on Jimmy Fallen from a few weeks ago solely to watch his performance only 10 minute ago...RIP and thanks, Chris.. Thanks for all of the paint-peeling vocals that only you could provide!!! I hope that you will have a legacy of stauch voters that vote in the spirit of ideals that were among your's.
  14. Another excellent review, Bbop. Thank you. It's so amazing how every solo benefit show is different and each a treasured experience. While Friday's show was very neat and clean performance with a wonderfully attentive audience, I can't say that it was better than Saturday. Certainly, Saturday's show was going to be more rowdy with more hecklers for requests. Perhaps any flaws in Saturday's show were turned out to be wonderful intimate moments for those in the front of the theater and at time comic reliefs. I certainly had a great time. Saturday's show was particularly interesting when Je
  15. Thanks for suggesting Kevin Morby. I just watched the Tiny Desk Concert and I loved it. I have 'Singing Saw" on order!
  16. I wonder if Peter Wolf and the Midnight Travelers might be the opening band for Friday night. It seems like a veteran band has been utilized in the past for this slot. If so, I'm hoping that Kelly Hogan will be part of the Midnight Travelers. Kelly has provided vocals on a Peter solo record lately and it would be great to see her perform at Solid Sound! In the last few months, I've enjoyed her performing with Andrew Bird, Drive By Truckers and Alejandro Escovado/Minus 5. I'm looking forward to seeing her band The Flat Five opening for Wilco at the Chicago Theater on Wednesday!
  17. Shrug and destroy for President Common Sense Randomizer President Reservations A magazine called I got you Just a standing O Henry and the H Bombs for president
  18. Although it should be noted that the faux foliage stage has not yet been presented in Chicago, Diane. I'm certainly hoping to have a chance to view it and yet encounter four individual Winterlude shows. And also, I'm not sure that the full Star Wars tour opening setlist was ever played in Chicago in a theater. Even though it premiered in Chicago at the Pitchfork Festival.
  19. From Wilco's tweet today: Wilcrew.
  20. That was incredible. What a brilliant and interesting story. Thanks for digging this up!
  21. This looks great! Thanks for sharing. I will try to add this onto the SSF Thursday or Monday to-do list. Last year I made the mistake of waiting until Monday to check out the Van Gogh exhibition at The Clarke as a last thing to do before leaving town. Unfortunately, the Clarke was closed Mondays in June. Hopefully, this changes. At least every other year.
  22. Me, too. Mount Tam is one of my favorite places. And after hiking over an empty wooded Mountain Theater numerous times years ago, it's pretty amazing to think Wilco will be playing here. Such a wonderful location.
  23. Wait a minute here... How is it possible to have a preferred song on an album in which you have never Ever been more disappointed?
