Joe Strummer taking us out of Rock the Casbah: "This is not Kosher, Fundamentally he can't take it, Ya know he really hates it!"..... -
Yes, I was just checking that out. Really great ! "Climb in the back with your head in the clouds and you're gone".

Brilliant! very cool. Thanks for posting Sir Stewart.

My guess is that it sounds like Paul going off at 1:08
-
Hmm, thanks for the clarification. I guess I heard it differently starting in 6th grade and went with it. "Flying" seemed like it worked. A fav of mine is John's lyrics on In my Life.
-
Something that always catches my ear is the "flying" on Sgt. Pepper's Reprise during Paul's 1234 intro count. Is that John talking in the backround? Love the trading guitar riffs that close out The End.

Hey Steve, I sent you a PM about this ticket.

It was such a shame that the weather affected travel plans. And even a few of the SNL headliners flights were canceled and were unable to attend. ( i.e. Cecily Strong and maybe a couple others ). Seemingly, because of the limited SNL billing?; the promoters raffled off a trip for two to NYC and a behind-the-scenes Day to the SNL set near the end of the show. When we arrived; there was just one guy waiting in line on the 3rd floor. While we figured it was okay to bail on the line for a quick bite to eat. This first guy in line endured the wait. Maybe it was coincidence but, He won the trip -

I suppose that's more accurate. It is interesting though that he initiated the talk of bands breaking up and reuniting. -

My recollection is that I heard something like, "You never know". -

One interesting part of the banter was about bands breaking up. And how ridiculous it is when they get back together. When pressed about Uncle Tupelo, I've never heard a reply before that sounded more like a maybe. Mister Bbop, please chime in. What was your take on that bit? -
^^ That last hour was amazing!, .. thanks for posting Wendy. ^^ Everly Brothers are soo good. Here's to proper covers in Joe's Field soon!

About the one-way ticket to Mars: Now that the field has been narrowed down to 1,000; What attributes/qualifying knowledge will the winner possess?

Delicious! what is your take on Pekin Duck?

Frog legs. How are they prepared best? Fried, baked ? Are they seasoned or just the natural chicken flavor? Squirrel >> Chicken of the Tree

A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe
Jcamp replied to hardwood floor's topic in Someone Else's Song
Paul Simon seems to have an interesting approach for songwriting. Maybe just on Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints ? He is on record claiming to hear the rhythms and music and then writing the lyrics after. I'll be happy to listen to Neil clunkers all day long. Bob's, too. Coldplay and Arcane Fire success' baffles me. -
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
Jcamp replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
Cool , I'll look out for that show. That show must've rocked. I know Nils Lofgren wasn't in the E Street band at that point. but, I love his Black Boots song. yeah, he pines on a bit. But really makes those nylon strings sing ...great harmonics. -
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

Side 2 of the River has always been a favorite since I was 10. Last saw Bruce and the E Street Band in Milwaukee for the Harley-Davidson 105 . Last stop of the 2007 tour. 3 hours+! What a great time. That show really made up for some who were disappointed when Elton John headlined the Harley 100th. ( Wow , talk about relocating lawn seats after that Biker exodus. At times EJ's band wailed, yup. ) -
Thanks for the reminder! just got Califone tickets for Lincoln Hall on Feb 1. Feb. is looking good with Dr. Dog on the 8th and the Vic shows on Feb 14 & 15.
