  1. Best bet is to start saving money and attend as many shows as possible. Buy tickets and book airfare and rooms early and often. And do your best to compete with presale robots.... Via Chicago's brilliant crescendo is actually best viewed from a good balcony seat.
  2. Hey Lou, it was good seeing you at the Hideout. What a great performance. It's hard to say how much of the headliner's performance was rehearsed and what parts might have been improvised. Darin Grey's performance, in particular, was amazing. And quite a bit of his performance would have to be considered avant-garde for a bassist: amazing. To be up close for this show was a real treat. Although being right in front of the stage, we could hardly see most of the rest of the performers due to the amount of equipment on the tiny stage. Sima Cunningham's Homme project was great. I bought the '45 f
  3. Thank you for reporting the setlist, bbop. I,too, was preparing to try to get the setlist correct from the 5th row when I saw you pass by a few rows in front just before showtime. What a fun show and a really nice theater. Here's a few incidentals as best as I recall: The first snafu happened right after Jeff was introduced and started playing Via Chicago. Maybe 20 seconds into the opening chords, the house music was still playing some funky MoTown song lightly over the PA. Jeff tried to played through it but obviously it was impossibly distracting. Soo, Jeff walked offstage momentarily an
  4. Could the delayed announcement / secrecy of the 'special guests' have anything to do with the recent performances with Jim O'Roarke? Probably not, right?
  5. Absolutely. Really nice poster. And now available in the Wilco Store... I just bought one. Thanks!

  7. Congrats on the 1st place finish. Was a fun season.
  8. The Étude Sessions will offer a presale to supporters beginning on Friday January 8 at 10a, visit http://www.etudegroup.org/etude-sessions/ for more information. The Weill Center will also offer a presale to preferred patrons beginning on Friday January 8, contact the theater for more information.
  9. Sheboygan presale went well. Have tickets and lodging squared away! "I wanna be your Kingpin Living in.... Sheboygan!".
  10. Easily 20+ hours monthly including solo projects. My wife and I listen to Jeff solo concerts at least a few times a week as well as Glenn's solo projects a couple times a month. We're hoping that the Vic 2015 Benefit concert makes its way to the Roadcase as we both have our requests played and we'd love to hear that performance again. Just today, I bought the Audio-Technica turntable LP-120-USB. Ever since, I've been cranking the Kicking Television box set as well as Alpha Mike Foxtrot vinyl often. Additionally spinning lately: The Minus 5 - Scott The Hoople In The Dungeon of Horror

    Today

Today I'll wed my better half, Nicole. What a wonderful world it is.
  12. Thanks for sharing. My copy just arrived!
  13. Thanks for the heads up about Jeff's lead vocals on the final track. I wonder if Scott McCaughey will have the lead vocal on any tracks? I ordered the vinyl last week, checking the mail everyday now! Enjoy Todos Santos. This year's lineup is incredible!
  14. Sounds about right. Let's go with 4 points scored for field goals over 64 yards and a bonus point with every new NFL record established. (Limited to 3 new NFL records per game max. and/or field goals up to 100 yards.)
  15. Crazy Rides Rockets... has the 8th spot. Two teams still available... perhaps reserving a slot is still an option? Good luck all and Enjoy! -- Joe
  16. That was a lot of fun. Really cool to watch the video again. Looking forward to Celebrating 30 Years of Wilco!
  17. The Loft's recently upgraded mixing board has been referred to as the best gear available in the Industry. Star Wars is Wilco's first release since then. Absolutely better with every listen. Can anybody give insights on the Loft's improvements?
  18. Frankly, I've loved every Wilco album. And thank goodness that they are all unique. Star Wars is the next fantastic chapter. And it gets better with every listen. I agree that Jeff's love for John Lennon's music shines through on Star Wars. And really there's not much better than that! Wilco sounds perfect on this album! Can anybody enlighten me about the newly acquired mixing board recently installed at the Loft? This is their first studio album since the Loft's upgrade, correct? My favorite Star Wars songs initially... You Satellite (Satellite, interestingly enough is another Mopa
