myspace compression blows, i've got the actual single, sounds great pretty good song. not great, but i dig the horns and Ben's backing vox -
i haven't been as impressed w/ San Fran in terms of just the city itself as i'd imagined in my head, but the bay area in general is definitely amazing
-
i'm guessing most of them were just there to see the Decemberists...
-
since you've got a car and are already going to Marin, definitely go to Muir Woods and then drive over to Stinson Beach. be sure to stop off at the pull offs along the coast on your way to Stinson, the views are pretty stunning:
-
haha, nice to see you over here too Choo Choo Charlie (and you got pit row CCC??? creepy )
-
i've got an extra front row Orch Pit for Thur night if anyone has a decent Friday night to trade (preferrably first 10 rows on the main floor)
-
actually they didn't hang around the show, they left immediately after the show and were out of town within an hour of the broadcast ending

you're wrong on that one Bjorn: Hillary Clinton: "It'd be a terrible mistake to pick McCain over Obama"
-
luckily the single is somewhat of an anomally in terms of overall sound/vibe. it's worth listening to for Cath & Long Division alone, which are both among Death Cab's better songs.
-
yeah, by my count there's really only 5 to 6 good to great songs on the album: Great: Long Division Cath Your New Twin Sized Bed (despite it's bad lyrics, still one of the best songs on the album) Good: Grapevine Fires (sleeper of the album for me) Bixby Canyon Bridge No Sunlight (was tempted to put this in the average column as it's an obvious attempt at a single, but it's a pretty good song still) Average: I Will Possess Your Heart Pity And Fear (that tabla sounds so fake/out of place, if not for that this would be a good song) Crap: You Can Do Better Than Me (those lyrics ar

well, i also think that Edwards still may be asked to be VP (should he want it) too, so there's that...
-
i think his ties to the Clinton's is what made him wait so long i think it's more of a "writing on the wall" type endorsement, but it could help Obama in the general somewhat w/ blue collars
-
Edwards endorsing Obama

Plans maybe, but Transatlanticism? HELL NAW!! Trans & Photo Album are so far above the rest of their catalog it's not even funny. there's 3-4 very poor songs on this new one, and while not awful, it's definitely in their bottom 2 or 3 records...
-
more i think about it, that's so awesome for Justin... i've chatted w/ him about Wilco before and he's a really big fan, so he's gotta be pretty damn stoked for those gigs
-
and like i said, different strokes... cuz i've seen Low well over a dozen+ times since moving to MN 10 years ago and a few of their shows rank among the best i've seen
-
plays piano (only seen him do it at soundcheck tho) quite well also plays kick drum sometimes along w/ his guitar/vocals
-
yikes... different strokes for different folks i guess, but Low are certainly far from AWFUL. hell, they've opened for Radiohead, Wilco, etc. that's fine if you're not a fan of the whole slowcore thing, but they create some absoultely gorgeous music if you have the patience
