it's ridiculous, but it's a lot more common belief than people think...

18% difference with only 6% in, not worrying too much yet. i expect her to win, but it'll be very close edit: now 12% difference with 8% in

New NIN album "The Slip" released 100% for free today on NIN.com it's a proper studio record w/ vocals, etc. and so far it's easily better than the last 2 proper studio albums...

wow those dates SUCK...
-
the new Delays record 'Everythings The Rush' leaked... and so far i'm really enjoying it a ton! their first one was one of my top 3 albums of '04 if i recall, but the 2nd one was disappointing.

preaching to the choir brother! Cameron is an amazing drummer, but in Pearl Jam his drumming is fairly straight forward rock drumming most of the time. Doesn't even come close to how creative his drumming w/ Soundgarden was. Jack, while he couldn't play the harder rock stuff quite as good or as powerful, he had an amazing feel and just overall touch/sound to his playing that brought a totally different organic feel to them. I think his joining the band had a lot to do with the overall sound of No Code too.

agreed... this doesn't really sound all that different from Plans for the most part, hardly a departure like they were talking it up to be besides 1-2 songs
-
SO excited they're back working w/ Brendan... he produced their best records as well as their last truly GREAT record (Yield)
-
yep, pretty much. (there's been some discussion of it in the Now Playing thread already) i think those "tribal drums" on Pity & Fear sound awful and completely ruin an otherwise decent song
-
i'd imagine he'll play in Cali, he lives there
-
live i didn't really get nearly as much of a JJ vibe, much more CSNY might be blasphemy, but i think Robin has a better all around natural voice than Jim

totally OTM the Daytrotter version of Cath was just ok, but the studio version is very cool. Long Division might be their best song between the last 2 albums (although Crooked Teeth was the one big stand out on Plans) Grapevine Fires is a pretty sweet lil song (great backing vocals are what make it), i think it was initially overshadowed by how lame the short song that precedes it is.
