agree w/ your points Oblivious... once they get 3g i'll definitely consider one they are definitely super slick though. there's a lot of features i'd miss from my Blackberry Pearl that hopefully will get added in time.

you can now choose between the old "Classic Blue" skin of version 2.2 and older or the new "Pro" skin, which will be the new default skin in IPB 3.0 whenever it comes out. to pick which skin, just select which you want in the dropdown box in the bottom left, next to the orange RSS icon

it's not fixed fully yet, i wasn't home much yesterday to fix things fully, should be back to normal today or tomorrow
-
it's the old 2.2 skin too baby blue imo

actually it's still a bit wonky, working on it

caught them in St. Paul tonight and i thought it was pretty lame overall... musically there's no denying they've still got it (individually at least), or that Sting's voice still sounds amazing, but the Sting-ification of pretty much every song was too much for me to stomach most of the time. Driven To Tears -> Truth Hits was definitely the highlight for me (not that hard to pick out). They even managed to make me not even really enjoy So Lonely, which is imo, one of the best songs of all time by any band. it seemed like the majority of the crowd loved it, but i'd imagine a large ma

not nearly as laughably bad as i was expecting, but still not very good, nor do i think i'll be listening to this more than a dozen times or be purchasing it. i'm just so over Corgan's voice at this point, and it doesn't help that it's gotten even more annoying and is all triple tracked to hell on this album musically it at least has a handful of redeemable moments, and i think i enjoy a good deal more than Machina in that regards, but the lyrics combined with vocals are enough to turn me off. that Starz song is one of the lamest songs Billy has done. way worse than TheFutureEmbrace, wh

Alligator has better songs (aka: higher highs), Boxer is the better all around/cohesive album.

ah, wasnt' aware you were in France nope, the first one is super super rare and was self-relesaed in the mid to late 90's i think. i used to have a digital copy at one time, but lost it in a HD crash. might check oink though.

Cut in Half and Also Double? or the one released last year, Knives Don't Have Your Back? not too big on her first solo album, but Knives is really good.

while i like Ganging somewhat, it's my least favorite Guster record. Parachute's recording blows, but most the songs on it are great. Their 3rd album, Lost and Gone Forever is honestly one of my favorite albums ever. Goldfly that came before it is quite good too. I miss Bryan's hand percussion a lot. He doesn't do it nearly as much as he used to (used to play the entire show w/ just his hands, but it killed them every night. he was always bandaged and/or bloody). you familiar w/ The Bees (the US version, not Band of Bees from the UK)? the lead singer in that band, Daniel Tashian also used to

Guster has absolutely nothing whatsoever in common with Coldplay honestly, especially their first 3 albums (of which, 2 of them are heads above their latest 2 records). Their melodies and harmonies are just gorgeous and their lyrics are quite underrated. Not to mention they are some of the funniest people you'll ever meet in your life. I've seen them well over 10x now since '99 and there's not a live show that I have more fun at, or sing along to every single word more than at a Guster show. seeing them at the MN Zoo twice next month w/ Ben Kweller opening, should be a kickass time! I have J

fair enough. it's been getting a bit of a beating on a few other forums i'm on from other Josh fans too, so i'm curious what you think i guess. but for me, Home is easily my favorite (and was my first intro to him), followed everso closely by Under Cold Blue Stars, which is pretty much tied with Nebraska. 1974 is awesome, but took me a bit to get over the retro thing, now i love it. Nashville had 3-4 amazing songs, but wasn't as strong as the previous 4 on the whole. i don't mind laid back/soft music at all, i just don't really dig on the lite jazz/adult contemporary (as much as i hate t

nah dude, i'm being honest there. i've been a really big fan of Josh since i saw him open for Guster in 2000, and have seen him a ton since then. but she's right, he's gotten progressively more boring and less interesting musically since Nashville, that much is kinda hard to dispute when you compare his back catalog. the spanish album is better than Subtitulo, but not by much. i wish i didn't find this new album extremely boring, because while i didn't love Subtitulo, it wasn't quite this boring at least. as for Quiet Town, that song is kinda dull too imo.

haha, halloween head is totally retarded lyrically but man the video for it is hilarious: http://music.yahoo.com/premieres/?pvc=0

just saw another one that used "Either Way" best one so far imo
-
think i might have gotten a promo of that. so i should check it out?
-
you mean including that or since? Nashville wasn't bad, but his first 3 are hard to beat. 1974 was pretty great too, after you get over the retro.
-
i'd be concerned if Pfork gave a post Heartbreaker Ryan Adams record above an 8 anyhow...
-
i don't mind his mellower stuff either, but this one just has hardly ANY enjoyable/memorable melodies and is boring as hell musically.
-
actually from the interviews i've listened to and read, it sounds like this one WAS recorded mostly live with minimal overdubs... but it doesn't really matter how it was recorded, "overproduction" or what's being perceived as such in this case has more to do with how the album was mixed more than anything.
-
me too they had posters of it up at the Mpls show, it looks tasty
-
the production actually isn't as "overproduced" as some of you are claiming... and it's definitely not "glossy production", if you want glossy, i can give you plenty of examples of glossy (namely pretty much any emo band), there's a bit of a difference between bright & glossy production. i for one have no qualms whatsoever with the production. the production on Goodnight Rose isn't even that different from say the production on Let It Ride. Also, the vocals on here are some of Ryan's best, no matter what. i'm about as anal as it gets in terms of production, having worked in a studio a
