Minneapolis at the State Theatre on 9/27

it shows you locked it at 4:08pm...

resize it before uploading it... the reason it's "73% it's normal size", is because it's been resized automatically by the forum. if you resize it correctly yourself, it shouldn't do it.

while the production isn't great, the songs don't exactly help it out either... i like it way more than Machina musically, but at least Machina had a lot better hooks.
-
hmmm... not seen it myself, weird

it was his first show at First Ave since March 1987... sure it was only like 70 minutes, since it started at 2:40 am and First Ave legally is supposed to shut down at 3am. the MPD let it run until 3:50 before they shut it down. even though this was an aftershow, it wasn't his typical "jam session" type aftershows i saw out at Paisley around '99-00, it was all songs w/ some jamming/medleys within those.

i saw Prince @ First Ave last Sat (well early Sun) night... it was pretty much the best thing evah.
-
well, i may just join you for EVERY one of those shows if you don't mind... btw, Twilight Sad and Doveman are likely opening the US tour

fantastic record. has grown on me a ton (after being a TINY bit let down at first) Razor Town is so gorgeous. i love every song but Down In A Hole (which is ok, just not a good pic for the 2nd spot). Pfork gave it a pretty solid review today too surprisingly.

and most of those "moments" are just Chamberlain, who is always solid
-
only one listen through this so far and i can see myself liking it more than Set Yourself On Fire (loved that one, but preferred Heart).
-
thus why i claimed it's neither good nor bad lol

he's playing at the Cedar on 9/24

yeah, was pretty bummed by the song choice myself...
-
i also like the fact that this song has a nice electric feel to it, something that's been missing from them lately...

a) this didn't come from an email through my blog, i heard the song on the radio here and found that video online and decided to post it even before i saw the video, when i heard the song, i thought it was kinda cool (i dig the 70's vibe to it, what can i say). i'm not saying it's a killer song, but i can appreciate a bit of a change (as long as the rest isn't like this). plus i just really love that one guitar riff... and like i said, i guess if you guys want more generic indie pop (with the exception of like 3-4 songs) along the lines of More Adventurous, fine... but i was pretty let do
-
figured the song would be fairly polarizing i'm just glad they decided to change it up, because the last RK record, save for 3-4 great tracks, was a bit dull compared to the previous ones.

sucks that the Madison show is a Tuesday :/

due in August: http://www.themoneymake.com/themoneymaker.html the video is really weird and long before it gets to the music it took me by surprise when i heard it on the radio this afternoon, but i like the song...

weird... never had a problem with mine. it's always very responsive and hasn't felt at all like it'll break anytime soon (knock on wood). can't say the same for the 8300 i guess.
-
buggy? really? not had a single "bug" whatsoever since i got mine back in February... and yeah, i have a BlackBerry Pearl. older BB's aren't quite as nice, but the Pearl, 8800 and 8300 are all pretty nice. any of the ones w/ the trackball are great.
