so far this is way better than Antics already... edit: i'm starting to realize that after 3 albums though, their lyrics will never not bug me for the most part

so far this is INCREDIBLY boring light jazz shite... and i'm a huge huge Josh fan... didn't care much for the last one either though to be honest. Nashville was his last decent album. those first 3-4 albums were all kickass too, what happened?

smaller? not really, no. the days of seeing AF play much smaller than 2500 seat venues are pretty much done, except for the occasional warmup/surprise show.

i'd be surprised... but not saying it's out of the question...

i sold my ticket for that gig tonight... i love Feist, and have really enjoyed all 4 shows i've seen her do before, but i just couldn't justify the $36

Ryan's falsetto grates on me more often than not, which most of those songs feature his falsetto Rosebud is just dull as shit though, no matter what vocal style

yes. there's only 2-3 songs i don't love on Easy Tiger, whereas Cold Roses has 5-6 songs i don't totally love. if Cold Roses was cut to 12-13 songs, it'd easily be his best post Heartbreaker, that's for sure. cut out Meadowlake Street Beautiful Sorta Cherry Lane Friends Rosebud Blossom and it'd be a killer single disc album not that big of a fan of the slower songs on Cold Roses for the most part. they're really dull/sappy songs for me. i love Ryan's solo/slow stuff, but really those ones in particular.

i really wanted that one last night there's only 2-3 so-so songs on it for me (Halloween Head, mostly just hate the lyrics, it was fantastic last night, the new version of Off Broadway (not too big on his falsetto on the new version), and Rip Off (chorus melody is pretty, song is a bit dull and the lyrics aren't that good). solid 4 star album for me i'd say, and his most all around consistent since Gold.

yeah, Icky sounded god awful last night for the most part, especially the intro w/ Jack playing synth & guitar, but his tone other than the one big riff that comes in later also sounded terrible. his vocals were way off and he was skipping a ton of the words too (granted it's not the most easy song/lyrics to sing). 2nd song was better, not that big on it, but the peformance in the crowd was awesome.

oh he was still plenty goofy a few times between songs (awww Snap!), but he kept it to a minimum for the most part. his story about the entire plain munching on pizzaria Combo's was pretty funny. he wore sun glasses for a good portion of the show, which was amusing considering how dark he had the lighting guy turn down the lights

fantastic (albeit a bit short (85 min) show tonight in Mpls... full band acoustic, Ryan just sang all night, no instruments (because of his hand). easily the tighest and most focused musically that i've ever seen him out of 5 shows since '01: Goodnight Rose Dear John Oh My God, Whatever, Etc. Halloween Head Nightbirds My Winding Wheel The Sun Also Sets Let It Ride Blue Hotel How Do You Keep Love Alive? Carolina Rain Rip Off Goodnight, Hollywood Blvd. I Taught Myself How To Grow Old Elizabeth, You Were Born To Play That

Carousel is incredible for sure

yeah... they made some very dramatic speed increases over 2.2, it's awesome

i like this skin a lot and might just create a customized skin using it like we used to have too
