the in-store yesterday was good... the in-studio after it however was just HEAVENLY one of the coolest things i've ever seen and the best i've heard Mark & Gary's voices sound together. it was pretty magical. the interview w/ Mary Lucia was good too. should be airing on http://www.thecurrent.org later today, and will be archived. they also had 4 HD cameras setup that should show up online soon as well -

alright, apparently it *IS* official now
-
if it IS true... Bonnaroo has made it's full conversion from jam band fest to indie rock centric festival complete
-
hear the first single (the title track)!!!!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/zanelowe/ fast forward to 31:05 it's fucking BRILLIANT
-
a lot of places are saying this lineup may be partially fake... i'd say wait until morning but if it's real, wow
-
heathen.

that's another thing, is i've never seen a full episode in it's entirety, since i'm not rich and therefore don't have luxuries such as HBO just seen clips online and live stuff. so maybe i'd enjoy the show some, but i know i didn't find their album very funny at all.
-
most of my friends who do like FotC have said this new season sucks compared to the first *shrug*
-
like i've said about them numerous times... i really WISH i got them or found them funny... i do, but unfortunately it just doesn't make me laugh at all.
-
well to be honest, think it was kind of stupid he was brought up in this thread in the first place, i was just giving a dig at Tangara for doing such wasn't really trying to prove a point, cuz it's like comparing apples to oranges
-
fair enough, but nobody in the US heard of these guys prior to 2 years ago... i don't think there's much argument there if they can sustain this level of popularity for the next 10 years, then i'll believe you, until then i see them as a trend. whereas Matt is still not popular after 10 years
-
not at all really. every one of his albums has increased sales slightly over the previous one, and i doubt this one will see much of an uptick because of She & Him at all. most of the people i know who like She & Him don't give a crap about Matt honestly
-
who has been releasing albums for over a decade now?
-
seeing them twice this afternoon here in Mpls! in-store and an in-studio you can listen to the in-studio online: http://www.thecurrent.org i think they're taping another in-studio at noon, but not sure when that will air
-
that article pissed me off so much. i've known fans like her for various different bands, it's just absurd. dude doesn't owe her shit. i thought Bruce was awesome. sure he was cheesetastic, but he kind of always has been. and yeah, he definitely cut 10th Ave and BTR short.
-
i'm just glad they're striking while the iron is hot
-
*shrug* i have 2 friends who have a "hip hop" side project who do songs similar to that and i don't find them very funny either though, so maybe that's part of it.
