  1. That dude looks like Morrissey crossed with Marty Feldman (w/ a touch of Split Enz-era Neil Finn mixed in there too). While that's very intriguing, and I'm impressed by the fact that he apparently had multiple "hits", Reckless wins again. Have you people ever even heard Reckless before? My rankings show this as being in the top 17 albums of the 1980's.
  2. You guys are pretty awful at listening to music. Reckless kills all of these.
  3. A Ghost is Born Reckless for the win. Reckless for the win (although the song "Faith" is really quite good).
  4. I'm arriving in the fine city of Chicago on Thursday, October 9. I'm pretty much counting on Louie being there at baggage claim and guiding me around town.
  5. I'm posting this here because I don't know where else to post it. And I have no idea what the hell is going on with this, either. http://www.punknews.org/article/30485
  6. Great list! edit: Don't listen to these other guys. Their whole schtick is bullying people on the internet.
  7. Just because you wear an XXL bowling shirt doesn't mean we can't see your moobs. Believe me, I know.
  8. I'm not clicking on these links. What am I missing? P.S. Is it anything like Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp. Because I used to love that show (we'd watch it at my cousin Cletus' house when Pappy took us there to go the Klan meetings).

The 3 albums Kyle referrenced were all great in different ways, with That Much Further... sorta being a hybrid of the more mellow country Tennessee and ND, which sounds pretty much the way they do live. I don't think the songs on the last record were as good, but then again I don't know many bands whose 5th album is as good as their 2nd or 3rd (yes, I'm looking at you, semi-obscure former alt country band with a popular if sometimes dysfunctional unofficial message board).

  11. Never Mind the Bollocks... For the first time in at least 5 years. Maybe longer, I can't remember the last time I listened to the whole thing. I forgot how great a rock n roll record this actually is.
  12. I think you can also pick this up as part of their label's (Suburban Home) 5 discs for $25 deal. Which is a steal, considering the number of great albums they've released.
  13. Brian Baker and Lyle Preslar were also briefly in a band with Glenn Danzig, after Minor Threat (and the Misfits) but before The 400 (and Samhain).
  14. This is the thread for saying bad things about independents. I'll start: Pick a side! Who do you think you are, Switzerland!!
  15. You make me almost want to vote Republican.
  16. Reading this board almost makes me want to vote Republican.
  17. I think there must be something wrong with the original link...I didn't see Drag the River listed anywhere.
  18. My Dad has an "Obama for President" sign in his front yard.
  19. PayPal me $1000 and I won't send you a list. Hell, I'll even quit the board for real. For ever.
  20. Update - we made a little dough, but more importantly we got rid of TONS of stuff. I was shocked by how many people actually showed up and wanted to give us money (however little) for our crap. Tomorrow everything that is left is getting picked up (donated to a local charity), and then I get to concentrate on selling records on eBay (and providing a list to anyone here who wants one).
