I'd really like to see the Pogues (never saw them the first time around), but the live recordings I heard from last year made me decide to just forget pursuing it. Musically they sounded great...Shane sounded pretty awful though.

When they have a theme, like "songs from the 80's"...is it a goal of the producers to have the kids pick the worst songs possible? I'm not expecting anyone to sing "I Apologize" or anything, but Christ...maybe like a Cure or REM song instead of the Queen song from the Highlander sountrack. Once that came on, I made my exit to the basement.

It is, indeed. They have an album coming out this Spring, which I am very excited to hear.

A quick aside...what about people who don't pay for their child to have a seat, and hold them in their lap instead? I sat next to a woman who had a kid (not a baby, but a kid...maybe 2 years old) in her lap for a 4 hour flight. Surprisingly, the kid couldn't get comfortable sitting on his mom's lap for 4 hours and spend the entire flight kicking me. About 30 minutes in, I prayed for the person in front of me to recline their seat until I died.

How am I supposed to access my carry-on bag that I've politely stowed under the seat in front of me if the seat in front of me is now in my lap? Huh? Tell me how!

A fully reclined seat is crossing the border between my row and the row in the front of me. In real life, such disregard for borders has been known to cause wars.

Has anyone mentioned yet that it's kind of a jerk move to recline your seat all the way?

I think I'm going to have to do a follow up poll to see if the people who voted "no" are the jerks who recline all the way.

Well? Personally, I find this behaviour to be rude and inconsiderate.

I always forget, but SNL really highlighted for me how much different his voice sounds now (as compared to say 10 years ago). It's almost a completely different style of singing. I don't like it as much (I liked the rawer sound), but even as I was thinking that I had to admit he is a much better singer now, with way better control of his voice.

I give it a solid "meh."

I was waiting for Penny's phone number to be THE numbers, but then when she started saying them I realized I can't remember what THE numbers are.
