  1. Never been to In-N-Out. But they just brought Five Guys to Chicago, how does that compare?
  2. You're in Cleveland? Todd was also the chef that opened Piccolo Mondo, Sans Souci, and Vivo before he came back home about 5 years ago.
  3. I don't stay up that late, so I'll try to catch it on YouTube or the Kimmel web site, if I can.
  4. Just bought my tickets for Chicago. YES!!!
  5. This is seriously amazingly funny. (You know, if you like B&
  6. I was pretty sure, but the way he had been (rumored to be) going, it would not have surprised me. Thanks for easing my mind.
  7. Yes, it was taped back in October -- but I have no idea who won. I have to watch just like everybody else. And, I can ask Todd whether or not he was able to choose.
  8. My good friend and former roommate is on Iron Chef this week, competing against Bobby Flay: LINK Used to be at Cibbo Matto in Chicago, and MK, and a bunch of other places. He's a bit of a spaz, but a really talented guy.
  9. I love Cee-Lo, so I also posted it in the "Cool Covers" thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZbeiXZVWbM
  10. This one belongs in the "Incongruous Covers" thread, too. I just happen to think that it's also very cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZbeiXZVWbM
  11. June 3 in Chicago. I am dying to go, and hope that I get a chance to.
  12. Maybe he'll try to squeeze into that Last Waltz jumpsuit again, and that'll do it?
  13. That's my favorite VM record, but I've been waiting to find it remastered over here before I pick up the CD.
  14. I would. But I don't think that he wouldn't hear me, because I'm pretty sure that he has some heavy-duty high-end hearing loss. At least, that is what his mixes would imply.
  15. Depends upon how good the remastered sound is, and how good the quality of the bonus material. The Meat Puppets remasters are an example of a label/band doing a really good job with something like this. There is a ton of new material added to each release -- most of it (not all of it, but enough) of a very high quality. And the sound: how can you NOT improve upon the sound of those 1980's SST releases?! A very welcome addition to my collection. But also, the way the bonus material is presented has bearing on the value of the collection. I mean, if there is both a mono and a stereo mix of an
  16. And this guy, obviously inspired by Sharrock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTjKWq9Gges
  17. Also, reminded by GtrPlyr's NP for today: ANYTHING by Sonny Sharrock! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgIL-UMU99Q&feature=related
  18. Here, check this one out. The solo comes in around 2:30 or so. He's no Bob Quine, but there is some element of that in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgYqIvnPvqQ
  19. Just checked and, according to Allmusic.com, Taylor didn't play on that album, but he did play on the album before. But, seriously, listen to the Power Station records and some of the guitar solos on there fit this theme very nicely. Chaotic, nutty, flurry of notes that don't make a whole lot of sense, but fit the song perfectly.
