  1. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
  2. It was a performance, not a real meltdown. Interesting interview. http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2010/09 ... ut_im.html Looking forward to seeing/hearing/reading interviews with Phoenix about the flick. Now I think that I may have to actually see this.
  3. "Whiskey" (I can't help but think of this every time I see the topic.)
  4. Maybe the best song of 2010. Definitely the best video of the year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXy_wxgIe7A
  5. I was there (at the very last show), but was sitting on the lawn. So, thanks for this! EDIT: And I recognize the Grant Park stage, but where is the other footage from?
  6. I tried to keep it all in my head, and I know that some of these are in other posts, but in case there are some that were missed (and, repeating myself, too), here is my complete list of favorites (in no particular order): Rock n' Roll High School A Hard Day's Night Fabricando Tom Zé Nico Icon The Decline of Western Civilization This is Spinal Tap The Devil and Daniel Johnston Theremin: An Electronic Odyessy Woodstock And, anxiously awaiting the Harry Nilsson documentary that's supposedly coming out soon. The worst (since you asked): Kiss and the Phantom of the Park Sargent Pepper's Lon
  7. YEah. You are right. And, it's not going to be anything else, I suppose. Mods: Please delete thread. Thanks. And sorry to the board.
  8. Courtesy of Spin.com: http://www.spin.com/articles/exclusive-urge-overkills-first-song-15-years Good news, indeed. Sounds like you would expect them to. I loves me some UO. And (from the little that I know of them, personally) they're good guys, so I hope that they make it back. I'm just bummed that Blackie isn't a part of it all.
  9. I am starting to really dig this band. My musical accompaniment for the day:
  10. Great album. If you have not heard his Cleaners From Venus stuff, do yourself a favor and do it! Golden Cleaners is the "greatest hits"-type collection, and is well-worth pursuing. Also, his last proper solo album: A Summer Tamarind (2006) is pretty great, too, if not quite up to par with ...Englishman.
  11. Cinderella Backstreet - Peter Laughner Innocent Exile - Iron Maiden Paisagem Util - Caetano Veloso Window Shop for Love - Wipers Street Waves - Pere Ubu Why Do We Hurt The One We Love? - Brinsley Schwarz Staying In Love - Raphael Saadiq moment in the sun - happy ashtray Winters Love - Animal Collective My Heart And The Real World - Minutemen
  12. A new album just out from his Cleaners From Venus Project! DOWNLOAD LINK HERE Trying to find out if he's selling physical CDs, too. Either way, a new Martin album is always good news! EDIT: Just got an email from Martin: He is selling physical copies, too. Great news!
