But the one that gets under your skin the most. It can be a horror movie, but isn't necessarily so... M The 1933 Fritz Lang masterpiece about the Child Murderer of Düsseldorf. It wasn't only creepy on the surface -- with Peter Lorre at his most leering and toad-ish, as a molester/murderer, but the way the film was structured anticipated/predicted the rise of Fascism in post-WWI Germany. Creepy on so many levels. Freaks You know, it's about circus freaks. And stars real circus freaks. That's creepy.

Whats your favorite "fuck you" song?

Great pick. I have a couple more: Johnny & June Carter Cash - "Jackson" We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout, We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out. I'm goin' to Jackson, I'm gonna mess around, Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson, Look out Jackson town. Well, go on down to Jackson; go ahead and wreck your health. Go play your hand you big-talkin' man, make a big fool of yourself, You're goin' to Jackson; go comb your hair! Honey, I'm gonna snowball Jackson. See if I care. When I breeze into that city, people gonna stoop and bow. (Hah!) All them wom -

You answered your own question. Also, try imagining any of those songs without Ringo or George. Bottom line is, it took 4 to make The Beatles. NONE of them alone did anything even close to approaching what they did together. The closest we got to The Beatles from the various solo projects is: George - All Things Must Pass John - Imagine Paul - Band on the Run But even those amazing albums pale in comparison to even the weakest of The Beatles' offerings.

Whats your favorite "fuck you" song?

Listened to this today, and thought that it was a pretty good one: Luke Doucet - "Broken One" One day you're gonna miss me. One day you're gonna wake up cold. Then you'll wish that you could kiss me when you're old and you're alone. So cry if you want to. Yeah, you can come undone But you've gotta have a heart to have a broken one. You can take your accusations. You can have all your records back. You can have an opinion or a heart attack, 'cause if you lose a kindred spirit, you'll find another one. But you've gotta to pull the trigger to have a smoking gun. Oh my girl, it must be so tigh -

I had this on vinyl for a brief time. Bought it on reputation before I was really into any of the artists on there, and sold it not long afterwards. Just not the best intro to any of them, methinks. But now that I am convinced of the genius of the parties involved (Cale and Eno, at the least), I want to revisit this thing. Anyone here have it? Opinions? Is it worth it? Looks like a good collection with some pretty good songs. Tracklisting: 1. Driving Me Backward 2. Baby's on Fire 3. Heartbreak Hotel 4. The End (Doors cover) 5. May I? 6. Shouting in a Bucket Blues 7. Stranger in Blue Suede

I heard an interview with him on NPR (Bob Edwards' Weekend) about a year ago. I tried looking for the link, but it appeared that they took the interview down. If anyone can find it, please post the link; it's a great piece.

The verdict from the family is that it is not one of his best films, but that it's still Miyazaki... which means that it's still pretty great. Apparently the family ranking goes something like: 1. Spirited Away 2. Howl's Moving Castle 3. Castle in the Sky 4. Princess Monoke 5. Ponyo 6. Naussica . . . . My Neighbor Totoro
