Favorite Songs That Have A Single Voice and Guitar
PopTodd replied to Moe_Syzlak's topic in Someone Else's Song
You decide for yourself. -
I took Sung Tongs out of the library a year or so ago and was not into it. But, if you see the thread I made about their new video, you'll know that I really dug that. And so, since I was invited to come talk about them in this thread , I will state that I will most-likely pick up the new album.

Thanks so much! In a sense. It was done at the home of an engineer who really knows what the hell he's doing. And he has decent (not great) equipment. -

That has always been one of my favorites, too. And, about 15 years ago, it would have been THE one in this thread, for me. -

PopTodd replied to John Smith's topic in Someone Else's Song
Oh yeah, my "gateway" to the underground: Meat Puppets - Up On the Sun Odd, in the time when REM and The Smiths were rising in popularity (late 80's) that the Pups would be the band to turn me on the the underground. But I read an interview in a guitar magazine and HAD to hear them. -
Just one line (or couplet)... from only one artist. Only one song. ONLY ONE LINE!!! (or couplet). I'm gonna have to think on this one for a little. But maybe today.... "When they say it's all over It's not all over, there's still the pain..." -Thin Lizzy - "Running Back" You may now unleash your Dylan quotes and whatnot.
