  1. Not intentionally. I was talking about movies, in general with another work friend and he called up my SS once I was out of earshot. Wasn't even thinking Secret Santa at the time.
  2. Not often. But this year, I got a pretty sweet gift (w/ a $15 limit)! One of my all-time favorite movies. At least it was 20 years ago, the last time I saw it. But, from what I remember, I know that it will hold up! Can't wait to sit down with this one.
  3. "Windfall" and "Tear-Stained Eye" are two of the most-beautiful songs ever recorded, IMO.
  4. I'll make it a little bigger, but not as big. Also, if I put the player in my sig, I'll try to smallify that, as well.
  5. If there is any way to put HTML code into my sig, I would love to hear how. It'd probably cut down on my self-promo threads. But not for certain!
  6. It didn't in the sig. It did in the body. At least for me. Try now...
  7. Harry Nilsson - Pandemonium Shadow Show/Aerial Ballet/Aerial Pandemonium Ballet :worship :worship
  8. Just went back and listened to: "Opi Rides Again" "Yanquee Go Home" After posting in here. And, I'm glad that you got that, too. Have you ever heard Shrimp Boat? (It's Sam Prekop's pre-Sea & Cake band). I think you'd like them if you like that early Camper stuff.
  9. Thanks, Stickman! I tend to think of this as akin to some of those instrumentals that Camper Van Beethoven did on their early records.
  10. It's worth all caps in my book. I saw them twice (both time with Coxon) and they were a brilliant live band. Without Coxon, Blur are nothing. With him, they are one of the best bands in the world.
  11. "Leo Goldberg's 2-Step" The mix leads rework, something fierce. And I'm gonna add some instrumentation, as well. But this is as close to what I played live as you're gonna hear on record. For some reason, despite (or because of) its stupidity, this song was always a live favorite. Once again, thanks for letting me post this here. Mods: if you feel it's inappropriate sharing, please take this down.
  12. Pink Floyd - The Early Singles Dwight Yoakam - dwightyoakamacoustic.net Thin Lizzy - The Definitive Collection Roy Wood - Boulders Essex Green - Everything Is Green One thing: How can they call it "The Definitive Collection" if it doesn't have "Running Back"?
  13. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCruefYl3FI

  15. All three of those could have and should have made my list.
  16. Shit! I forgot Hendrix and The Modern Lovers!
  17. This'll take a while. But, in no particular order (just as they come to me):
  18. Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson - Rattlin' Bones Richard Hell - Destiny Street Brinsley Schwarz - Nervous On the Road/The New Favourites Of... D'Angelo - Voodoo
  19. Steve Ison - The Stars Are Never Really Distant XTC - Skylarking Bob Elliott - Simple Machines Sam & Dave - The Very Best Of...
  20. It wasn't the Sydney Kangaroos, although I do believe it was the Kangaroos. And, it was the AFL, with the weird-shaped yellow ball. And it's an awesome game that I have to figure out how to find another broadcast of.
  21. It was on a broadcast channel here in Chicago... one of the new digital channels that I'm picking up now.
  22. "There She Goes" by The La's is pretty simple. Basically just G, C, and D; but that C is actually easier to transition to than a regular C, because it's a C9, which is a much easier transition from the G. HERE is a link to a pretty good overview of how to play it. Let me know if you try it and how it works out.
