I saw about that doc. I wonder if and when it's going to be broadcast in the States? Anyone know?

And here is a Spotify playlist for you all to sample. (Only a few albums aren't on the site and you have to find those yourself): https://play.spotify.com/user/126535916/playlist/2nvMyX8ua2iBj9I6XOc8Kr

1. The Butterscotch Cathedral - The Butterscotch Cathedral: Wildly melodic, creatively arranged psych, presented as 2 long suites separated by a short blast of stoner/sludge fuzz rock. Very accomplished and fully immersive. A psychedelic masterpiece. 2. Summer Fiction - Himalaya: Was my #1 for a while. Very twee: too twee for many. And maybe a bit derivative. But, for me, there is no denying the song craft and the gorgeous melodies. Great, lush arrangements, too.3. The Thons - Hot Fun: Still tons of fun. Great, angular pro to punk, that owes some serious debts to both The Fall and Television.

At our family Hanukkah gathering last night, my son (16) excitedly played "Freak Scene" for his younger cousins (13 and 10), who were wholly unimpressed and only mildly interested. I watched from the hallway while my son banged his head and played air drums along to the song, in his own world, and my niece and nephew just kinda sat there next to him and looked at each other and shrugged. It was like something from a Wes Anderson movie, music and all. Quite amazing.

Mystic Braves - Days of Yesteryear Think "psychedelic" and the sound of this record is pretty much exactly what you would expect, I think.I don't think it's my best writeup, but it's a pretty good record, and I think that comes across. http://active-listener.blogspot.com/2015/12/mystic-braves-days-of-yesteryear.html

PopTodd replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
