I'm sure that Chara will be a Norris finalist, but the voters usually give the award to the highest scoring defenseman. Green's 30 goals are the most goals scored by a d-man in a long time. It's rarely given to a defensive-defenseman, and Chara's points don't even put him into the top 10 for D-men. I'm also itching for the playoffs to start. It sucks to not have scores/highlights to look at on a daily basis. The 2nd season is the best.

Fixed it for you.

RIP Mark Fidrych!

This isn't a mispronunciation thing, but a common misspelling: I just want to say that the correct term is "just deserts", not "just desserts", unless you are answering a waiter when he asks "will you be ordering a full meal, or just desserts?"

Wilco at Brewers game, Jeff throwing out first pitch

I likes me some Watson twins... -
I'm not convinced this is a mispronunciation. Supposable (and therefore supposably) is a word, no? My main gripe with the root word is when people leave off the D when they write. For instance: "I'm suppose to walk the dog."
-
I think I did that earlier today in an e-mail as well - don't know why I'm thinking Ducks, but writing Avs...
-
Is that right? Sharks and Avs (or Kings for that matter) have never met in the playoffs? I think the matchups are all great. The only mismatches I see are Bruins/Habs and Caps/Rangers.

I just want to know who pronounces "often" with the T, and who says "offen". I'm a no-T type of guy. And - what's the regional boundary lines on catsup v ketchup? Also - what about "grocery" - do you say it "grossery" or "groshery"?

Nice! I lucked into some pretty sweet seats for this game - 2nd row behind the Brewer's dugout. I've got a good week+ of entertainment coming up. Brewers/Cards tonight, Wilco tomorrow and Wednesday. Killers in Vegas on Friday, Sir Paul on Sunday, then Neko Case the following Saturday. -
Datsyuk is by far the best defensive forward. Just look at his takeaways (leads the league) and plus/minus (leads the league). Plus, he's top 5 in scoring.

Both CBJ and Anaheim should make the Wings nervous. As a Wings fan, I'd rather play the Blackhawks or Calgary rather than STL, CBJ or the Ducks. -
Apparently Stafford really impressed them at their private workout, so I don't know... It's between Stafford, Curry, and a o-line guy whose name escapes me. I'm nervous about Stafford - doesn't seem that he's all that, but Curry seems like the real deal. My philosophy is - improve the guys who allow points first, then worry about the guys who score points later.

Then I don't want to be right.

I am both a Wilco and Radiohead fan. I am marrying a woman who is both a Wilco and Radiohead fan. We both have Uggs (she = boots, me = clogs). Both of us will Never, Ever, Never, Nerver, Neverevereeeno wear crocs.

I'm glad the Lions didn't trade the same for Cutler. They have WAY too many needs to address to waste picks on a primadonna. Even though yes, Cutler seemingly would be better than any of the QB draftees. I would be very happy if the Lions did nothing but draft D with their first 5 picks. Win 3-4 games, get QB and O-line next year.

I guess I must be missing your point once again... Walmart stock was less than $15/share when Sam Walton died. Today it's over $50. How has it gone downhill?
