  1. Wow... I guess I assumed that this thread was Creedence-proof.
  2. That edit is like rain on my wedding day. wop wop wop
  3. What exactly is "that", that he won't do? It's felching, innit? My votes go to: Every rose has its thorn - Poison You oughta know - Alannis Morrisette
  4. Meh... they probably won't make the playoffs at this rate. No need to hate.
  5. I likes the Louvin Brothers. Satan IS real.
  6. A symphony is a musical composition. Perhaps more musical education would open your mind?
  7. I laughed throughout as well, and for that reason alone, the film is a success, but found some things lacking. I didn't care for Rashida Jones' acting (or perhaps it was the way the role was written?). She was way too nice and accommodating. I didn't think there was much chemistry between her and Rudd. The squeaky-voiced guy was a lame one-note joke. Why cast Andy Samberg? - he's nothing but a haircut. If he's funny then put him in a funny role.
  8. Last week's South Park was a good send up of both Batman and the Watchmen. Who is the Coon???
  9. best spin of the day award. Obama SHOULD have said "I know, it's like I'm fucking retarded... DARRRRRR!!" and then he should have done his best John Lennon spastic imitation.
  10. Sometimes it's not that slow. But, we still cling tenaciously to 35-5. Top that! Your team won't. Ever.
  11. Actually, that would be 'London is drowning'
  12. My love for Los Lobos started about 10 years ago when I first saw them at the Guinness Flaidh (sp?) at the Arlington Raceway in 1998. I wasn't expecting much - they were the first act we saw that day. They blew me away, and now I catch their act every time I can. That day was a great day for music - I also saw Wilco for the first time, then later saw Squeeze, X, and Shane Macgowan.
  13. T Model Ford Junior Kimbrough RL Burnside The Fat Possum label is great for that unpolished dirty sound.
  14. Just pass the Kool Aid when you're done hogging it.
  15. When I was a kid I always confused that book with the Led Zeppelin book. Made me think that JPJ had something to do with Machu Picchu. Hell, he could have built the pyramids with the power unleashed by the Immigrant Song bassline alone.
  16. I'm expecting to see Queens of the Stone Age: Songs For The Deaf on that list soon...
