Bill Bradley and Lyndon LaRouche were the only candidates that were up against Gore in the primary.

My initial link was a poor example of trying to refute what you had said, but it's nigh impossible to find a source that merely discusses the myth of Nader taking votes away from Gore, without it discussing the "stolen" election of 2000 as a whole. It's all part of the whole story, and Nader's legacy has been tarnished by infuriated Dems who have to place blame on everything BUT their putz of a candidate: Gore. But if you looked at either of those two sites, you'll see that Nader's voters were people who mostly voted for Ross Perot in Clinton's first election. The people who vote for third p

The first claim says that Nader took votes from the Dems and not the GOP. That is an ill-informed myth. Here. or here.
-
Nader also "took" votes that would otherwise have gone to Bush. Buchanan also "took" votes that would have gone to either Gore or Bush, (or perhaps, if confronted with the only options of Bush or Gore, the voter would have stayed home, as over 50% do on any given election year) as did every other non GOP/Dem candidate that year. But the only person who gets villainized over what happened in the 2000 election is Nader.

That's a myth that needs to die.

I will vote for Trump for President for the same reason I voted for Jesse Ventura for Gov. of MN: I do enjoy a shitshow.

I'm disappointed that Hitler isn't leading the Dem polls. Charles Manson has some interesting ideas on infrastructure, and he really tells it like it is. Refreshing.

Was this ever mentioned here? June 26 (Press Association) -- Ex-Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has forced a local council into changing the wording on a blue plaque honouring the band after he condemned it as "disgusting". The plaque at Dartford railway station in Kent said Mick Jagger and Keith Richards "went on to form The Rolling Stones". But Wyman objected, saying it was the late Brian Jones - who drowned in Sussex in 1969 - who created the band, famed for hits including (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. Wyman, 78, told BBC Radio 5 Live the plaque was "disgusting"

I don't know where I read/heard it - but wasn't the idea for Beggar's Banquet - as a "return to form" for the Stones something that Brian Jones pushed for? He was a mess by that point, but I think it was in the recent Scorsese documentary that they said even though BJ was a wreck, he was able to come in and put down the slide guitar track for No Expectations in one take, and that was basically the last useful thing he did in the studio.

makes sense.

I haven't listened to the Charlie Miller SBD, so I can't make a comparison, but yes, there is a 10-second (or so) segment with significant static distortion on the official release as well.

The Blackhawks are known to be a very buttoned-down team with a good reputation, too.
-
Ah, where Yul Brynner is a robot? Never saw it. Any good?

I have no idea. But if the league steps in, the Blackhawks might not have any say in the matter. And if neither the league nor the Blackhawks do anything (of course, this is assuming that the worst is true), then you'd think there would be uproar. It all hinges on whether or not criminal charges are brought. Earlier this year, Mike Ribeiro was sued by an ex-nanny for sexual shenanigans, but because criminal charges were never issued, the NHL never poked its nose in. http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/12429057/mike-ribeiro-nashville-predators-sued-allegedly-assaulting-nanny

What is Westwold?

Is it too much to ask for a candidate who is actually a leader, and has a vision for energy, infrastructure, and economy? Jesus Horatio Christ, let's make abortions our main priority.
-
If the allegations are true, his NHL career might be over. Slava Voynov, a young defenseman who used to play for the Kings, was sentenced to a short stint in jail for spousal abuse, but even before the sentencing, the NHL put him on indefinite suspension until the trial was resolved. I think he's serving his 90-day sentence now, but the KHL has indicated he has a future there.

Nice kid? I guess so, other than the time he assaulted a cab driver, or the time he got kicked out of a frat party for choking a girl... http://deadspin.com/5909246/reconstructing-patrick-kanes-drunken-weekend-in-madison http://deadspin.com/5334113/patrick-kane-reminds-you-why-you-should-never-take-a-cab-ride-in-buffalo
