  1. Anyone paying attention to the Kane situation? What a shit show. http://deadspin.com/prosecutors-believe-supposed-tampered-evidence-in-patri-1733015962

  4. I always thought Yogi Berra came up with "It ain't over til the fat lady sings." Guess not: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_ain%27t_over_till_the_fat_lady_sings I'm older than that phrase! His best quote is "It's deja vu all over again." Rest in peace, Yogi!
  5. Excited for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=118&v=wQG3JLxfLdc
  6. Well, this sucks. My cable provider only offers PPV, and at $40/match, looks like I will be seeing zero matches.
  7. http://www.citypages.com/calendar?dateRange[]=2015-10-10 If I was in charge of the agenda, I would opt for the drinkin' spelling bee at the 311, then the FAttenin' Frogs album release show at the Icehouse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vu_GLfez6vA
  8. "You know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening. We're going to be looking at that and many other things." I can definitely get behind a candidate who promises to look at things.
  9. Eli Roth is a sick fuck. Looking forward to his latest: http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Eli-Roth-Movie-About-How-Much-He-Hates-People-Who-Overreact-Twitter-72611.html
  10. Wow. That's a great piece of art. So - who are the favored teams? I know USA is crap, but who are the teams that stand a reasonable chance of winning it all?
  11. Does Dweezil try to Approximate (see what I did there?) Frank's playing style? A few years back, I caught about 10 minutes of their set before getting pulled away at Milwaukee's Summerfest. I don't recall what they were playing - seemed to be goofing off when I was watching.
  12. I'm American, but heredically, I'm more Scot than Irish. I'll support all three.
  13. Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to tune in to what I can, and hopefully I can learn something.
  14. sounds better with the stutter. Get Mel Tillis to do radio promos. I wonder what's going on with the documentary that Scorsese is a producer of: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4143508/?ref_=nm_flmg_prd_5 It's been listed as being in "post-production" forever. It was supposed to be a tie-in to the farewell shows (or at least the 50th anniversary), according to this old article: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/martin-scorsese-producing-official-grateful-dead-documentary-20141023
  15. Nope. I'm not even interested enough to want to listen to a show. They're now missing their two most talented musicians? No thanks. It's like seeing the Harlem Globetrotters without Meadowlark Lemon and Curly and/or Geese.
  16. I just listened to the Eyes of the World from the Lincoln Feb '73 show. If there's a splice then it's well-hidden. I never heard it. But - the initial description could have very well described the initial release. I purchased my copy from iTunes, and there's no splice. Or I'm an audio-idiot, which view has some merit. The two shows included on this release (Dick's Pick #28) are both top notch. It's a must-have.
  17. I do love the '77 band, but I think I have that era just a slight notch below the 72-74 Kreutzmann-only era.
  18. from Wikipedia: This release is known to have a patched cut in the original soundboard tapes. If certain soundboards are missing parts of a song those creating the release will attempt to patch the cut if possible. Sometimes this is from an audience source or from an entirely different show. Unfortunately there is no database for these fixed soundboards and hence is up to the listeners to stumble upon such a discovery. Track 3 on Disc 2, Eyes of the World, contains a portion of the Eyes of the World played on 1973-02-22 which occurs at 2:40 to 4:34 on the track. Track 5 on Disc 4, Morning De
