  1. yeah that thread is a joke, not the real dates but a reliable source tells me NE dates are being held in may of course its not 100%, just that the band is looking at dates in May yep they had two songs on flash forward, unthought known and the end now if they would just release those philly boots I could get on with my life
  2. may is the rumor for the east coast
  3. they were playing red mosquito at every show where ben harper opened all those yesterdays was played at one of the four philly shows be nice if it was in the regular rotation when they come around again in the spring of 2010 they played a ton of rare tunes in Philly-some great, some not so much
  4. I was there Wed and Fri. Fri was simply one of the best PJ shows Ive seen and the 10C setlist is missing alive, sonic reducer and baba-the last three songs on Friday
  5. caught ratdog on Tues night in NYC and I have to say it was one of the better RD shows Ive seen http://www.archive.org/details/ratdog20 ... 100.flac16 stream SBD I: Jam > Feel Like a Stranger > Mule Skinner Blues, Queen Jane Approximately, Walkin Blues, Mission in the Rain, Row Jimmy, Tennessee Jed, Deal II: The Winners@, Peggy-O@, Corrina@, Even So > October Queen > The Deep End > Uncle John's Band > Stuff*, Standing on the Moon, Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away E: Not Fade Away > Johnny B. 6. links are working bobby streaming live from the tower in philly
  7. Shelley Finkel forgot spac, man some crazy times up there yeah I never did NYC until 87, not sure why, probably because they hit hartford so often on the way or right after Memorable trips for me during high school was to hampton spring 85 and 86-man did I end up in the doghouse after sneaking away for those shows. I feel lucky to have caught all of the bushnell shows starting in 83 (it was actually the 5/30/83 show that got me hooked on jerry's guitar playing)and what can you say about the acoustic shows-beautiful sloppiness-if that makes any sense
  8. yeah no doubt some great shows in the 80s-thanks Jim Koplik and cross country concerts hartford, new haven (RIP Coliseum-I saw many great shows at that dump in the 80s), springfield, providence, and worcester, and even philly, albany and boston-all relatively close but you could always count on a couple of shows in hartford, and Jerry at the bushnell-man those were some of my favs
  9. I was at that show-hartford was my home town base for dead shows many a good show at the ole hockey rink what a treat and I still remember ole jer singing that china doll a song that I hope will remain untouched by the various post dead incarnations

good band I like all the records thus far, and have enjoyed many a spoon show but, they need to get the new one out already
  12. I think you are talking about just breathe rumor has it EV had a head cold when he recorded just breathe, it does sound different perry farrell joined PJ onstage last night for a rocking version of "mountain song" I cant wait to hear the entire version
  13. the first six records are all great binaural took some time to appreciate, but no question-those songs really shine live but its a great record Im so so on riot act, its definitely the one I reach for the least but that being said, it has three songs on it that I never get tired of cant keep, save you and all or none
  14. Grateful Dead to Rise in New York Exhibition 2009-10-02 15:50:07.587 GMT By Dave Itzkoff Oct. 2 (New York Times) -- Though the Grateful Dead are most closely associated with the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, the Upper West Side of Manhattan can briefly lay claim to that industrious and ever-evolving band in the weeks and months ahead. In March, the New-York Historical Society will open an exhibition on the Grateful Dead that will trace its history and cultural influence. In a release, the society said that the exhibition, to be called "The Grateful Dead: Now Playing at the New-
  15. Rumor has it that target paid PJ $5 million (i.e. advance order of 1 millon copies at $5 per unit). The band is said to get $5 per copy for any sales over one million-not that its likely. Should be some steep discounts in the future as target tries to move these units. the setlists on the current tour look terrific
  16. whoa nelly!!! take it easy man I am deaf so be kind- just kidding Sorry, but I close my eyes and I can hear Chris Martin singing this song-its got that over-produced grand arena rock sound which I just dont like-same with amongst the waves. I enjoy the piano with some bands, but not PJ. I was not at the show last night, but I did see some vids of unthought, and the keys were almost non-existent-perhaps I will like it better when I hear it live. I loved when ed played it solo acoustic in new jersey last year. The production on the fixer, unthought and amongst are not to my liking tis
  17. yeah im not big on unthought known HATE the piano-coldplay anyone? bummer about the 10c copy Johnny guitar is my fav on this record. Vedder lets it rip on that song. Seattle show tonight.
  18. target, Itunes, 10c and independent record stores.
  19. thats just for the target and record store versions they have not yet opened the link for the 10c version and that list you mention includes two of the best shows in the last few years grand rapids 06 hartford 08 a nice little bonus imho
  20. the band has become very indulgent when it comes to the artwork (i.e. they let ament do his thing or another artist) some of the new artwork is cool, some of it, not so much but i would not say its hideous
  21. same as usual they sent the 10c versions out a day or two earlier-most that pre-ordered from the 10c had it before every one else and have faith there will be free downloads for the 10c pre-orders, probably a better selection! just a little late and less than forthcoming with details-as usual
  22. you get two free concert downloads with the target version target deluxe version comes with the concerts and rockband tracks
