  1. They still have wristbands if folks can get down there. amazing deal to pay $25 for two beautiful color vinyl albums and you get to go to the in store set for free. Rough Trade is hopeful there will be an album signing after the set as well.
  2. I could not resist the joking shout out for more base after another two bass locator. I thought Jeff might have used two guitars that i did not notice (maybe just me) in Madison or Minneapolis. Thinking maybe ones he does not like to risk the road travel? Yes, muy caliente to get What Light. For now static setlist but playing really well. I also liked Jeff mid guitar strum adding a few claps for Pat's banjo solo as the crowd noted Pat's playing.
  3. Of course Paul correctly corrects the setlist even though unable to attend. Damn impressive! Fun show. No real banter but he noted spider clapping was good enough to end a string of poor showings at prior recent shows and that clapping was mandatory and a power trip for the band. Jeff also did an ever so brief moonwalk which he then appropriately dissed as he repeated the effort. Don't recall the Late Greats sans the white guitar, but maybe just my aging memory.
  4. We thought a very strong performance and seemed very happy to be playing in Philly again. Not sure why so long and at one point Jeff said hey you have to invite us back. The Mann Center has great sound and a pretty low stage so great viewing and sound. Not really much talking from Jeff during 2-1/2 hour set other than noting the birthday and talking a bit about being back in Philly. He did gush about Richard Thompson and called him his best friend and during his set he noted that Jeff had produced his last album. Richard played a well received set and was strong on guitar work during Californi
  5. Jason Isbell said he watched her set and knew she was good "but that was some inspirational sh*t".
  6. Great day at Hunter and a great Wilco set. Funny after the back and forth in the after show threat on 6/1 with the complainer about full Star Wars that it dropped out at the very next gig. The tunes worked well mixed in to the set. Not too much banter given the tight festival set schedule from 8:30 to just after 10:15 pm. The road/security team caught off guard by the woman who danced her way from backstage to next to John before being escorted off and out. California Stars was super fun with Jason and i lost count of the times Jeff started back toward the mic and backing off realizing that Ne
  7. Have 2 extra tickets in Orchestra Left row J. Will sell on this board for $100 for pair (face $160). Have to meet at venue before show. Best to email sfjldj@aol.com if interested. Thanks.
  8. Link for stream of the Mountain Jam festival starting today. I assume it will include the Wilco set Friday night scheduled for 8:30 to 10:15. https://tourpedo.com/shows/mountain-jam-2016-entire-festival-pass
  9. This is probably the wrong forum to continue this discussion. I have always had faith in Wilco and have been well rewarded and like to see them do exactly what they want to do. Star Wars in its entirety won't last so i have enjoyed it while it does, and while i agree it compresses the rest of the options/setlist, they are a pretty open book so you know what you are getting at this time. I will be surprised if it is played in its entirety every show in 2016. Mountain Jam is a blast so enjoy it, i know we will. I loved seeing Bruce do the full River in sequence, such a powerful album. This music
  10. It will be a great run no doubt. I will take 5 nights of Wilco in the same venue, ANY VENUE, any time. The Riv may be a dump, but there will always be something special to this New Yorker about seeing Wilco in Chicago.
  11. Perseverance paid off for SF as i kept asking for 1 ticket after the sorry all gone message and eventually (about 10 minutes after they went on sale) i was able to get 2 for Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Psyched for my first California Wilco shows.
  12. Dont see how to delete this post. Was able to get tickets in the general on sale.
  13. We now have 2 extra tickets for the Friday night, May 13th Jeff Tweedy benefit Show at the Vic Theatre. Tickets are GA and selling here for $60 each (less than face value). You can send me a message through the board or at sfjldj@aol.com. Thanks.
  14. I have 2 extra tickets for the Saturday night, May 14th Jeff Tweedy benefit Show at the Vic Theatre. Tickets are GA and face value of $86 each but will sell on this board for $50 each. You can send me a message through the board or at sfjldj@aol.com. Thanks.
  15. Same here as i approach the 39th anniversary of my first of 209 Grateful Dead concerts before Jerry died, only up to 58 Wilco since 2004 but trying! I can see it was basically in jest but very far from my experience since my close deadhead friends are super successful in terms of career/real world and hardly spacy other than in the midst of a spacy jam.
  16. Interesting, i added back the link to the video from my post earlier today based on their retweet to the same video. It was a very special performance so am not surprised they are happy to see it out for all to enjoy.
  17. Someone will have the list as i dont have it all. After Star Wars I recall Company at my Back, IATTBYH, Handshake Drugs, Art of Almost, I Must be High, Camera, Via Chicago, Impossible Germany, the Late Greats, ITMWLY, Born Alone , HMD and no single electric encore (seems like a tight 11 pm curfew), right to acoustic Misunderstood, Always in Love, A Shot in the Arm, Space Oddity.
  18. Another great show. A close version of Space Oddity posted to YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytQjdn99eds I see from note below that Wilco retweeted link to this video of Space Oddity so must not mind too much the link being posted on this board.
  19. Only change from printed setlist was dropped Always in Love in slot before Shot in the Arm. Might have been running long with a few minutes of the band jamming on Art of Almost while Nels and his tech (Zach) fixed his board. Jeff said they were working on some sort of science project over there and that Zach was actually an astrophysicist. Funny because on next song Jeff broke a string after making fun of Nels'technical difficulties. The fight next to us was the next song and just a drunk fellow starting it up with a much bigger dude. Jeff said the last time he could remember a fight at a show

  22. If the group or even groups bidding on the current Charitybuzz auction need or have room for one more i would gladly participate and disproportionately so. Welcome any private message to try to get into this exclusive group for what must be a mind-boggling experience. I even have a perfect living room available, but located in NY. Thanks!
  23. Sure we had a few odd folks at this one, but we thoroughly enjoyed the show and were ecstatic to find ourselves in the second row. Two minor corrections to earlier posts(1) the opener second guitar player named David Nelson is not the same David Nelson from the NRPS and (2) on the new song Jeff did not want to break out he said it was not "ripe" yet rather than "right". We also did not think just was frustrated by his lyrical memory lapses as much as bemused, the guitar flubs are what tend to get him frustrated and we thought he was really solid on guitar and in fine voice. Funny to see Josh d
