Don't you all realize the implications of Jay claiming that Tweedy was the producer of IATTBYH is direct proof that the entire Warner debacle along with the documentary were a big scam to gain publicity and draw attention to the band. All of this of course spearheaded by mr. Tweedy. And then when the dust settles the sweet irony of Warner buying YHF back. This is crazy. The strings are unraveling. I'm not sure if i'm serious about this?

I looked over the link and that would get me Don't You Honey Me, but not the three other tracks i'm looking for (thanks though). Ya know, I feel like I'm becoming annoying at this point. I really don't want to do the torrent option (even though I could rationalize it regarding this issue for ever) Just feels overtly wrong. So if anyone wants to help me out with the Complete Singles, cool. If not, maybe the songs I need will pop on a blog or somewhere else sometime.

Ok, T Rex the Slider, you keep confusing me. Oh, I made my first attempt at the whole torrent thing and I will tell you about that some other time. No success yet. So, here is where i'm confused. You state above that the google search torrents are the illegal bittorrent sites. Are not all BT sites illegal? And if not, what BT site would you point me toward for the Complete Singles? Now my third question is, how did everyone on here come across the Wilco Complete Singles. did you compile them over the years like I have 90% of these tracks. Or did you all download them from the internet

If I was going to go the Torrent route to get the complete singles. I am using a MAC, what torrent download should I use, does it matter? Are there more reputable torrents vs. bad (I heard pirate bay was bad) ? Sorry i sound like an idiot on this. And does to download come in mp3 form so I can put it right into I tunes?

I cry on the inside. Seriously, everyone stop this and go listen to Hotel Arizona on headphones real loud. You will change your mind

this is pure sacrilage (sp?). Don't do it, The Wilco Gods will cause terrible karma to rain down from the sky blue sky

I've waited for some of these since 1994, i can wait all weekend. Thanks for all your guys help

These logic arguements make me feel like a lot of you guys on here are debate team members. You guys make me feel stupid. I kid. I guess it is a moral dilemna that I would love to bypass by a kind soul who already has these saying hey fellow Wilco fan here is what you need. But maybe I also need to educate my self on torrents. Wasn't there just a thread on this last week?

The whole BT thing for me is a combination of lack of understanding and belief that it is overtly slimey. I have never and will never be cool with people pulling down torrents of albums that are availalbe in stores or on I tunes, and I see this alot from torrent sites. I usually have luck getting a random mp3 of a rare song release from blogs, but am struggling with those i mentioned. I would be wililng to possibly use a torrent for the Wilco singles for example, but would prefer to not even get involved in torrents.

I would have felt really weird if I didn't donate the $2. Woody and his legacy has probably made a ton of music I listen to possible in some way. I've only gave the song one listen and I have not complaints. I think sometimes Wilco does this sort of song so effortlessly that you can miss its quality upon first listens. I also love the concept of using a 50 odd year old song to make a current statement. It makes it seem less reactionary and soap boxy in my mind.

Ok, here is another try. I went through all of my Wilco non album tracks that I have purchased and I have a short list of what I'm missing. Although I would love to get my hands on the The Wilco Singles 1994-2002, here is what is missing that I'm searching for. Even though I have a bunch of official live released songs and demos, I'm mostly wanting non album studio tracks or demos that never saw a proper release Childlike & Evergreen Don't You Honey Me The Good Part Old Maid Airline To Heaven (alt ver) any help would be appreciated!

Can someone please help me out with the Wilco Singles 1994-2002. Are you happy, I said it, I said it, OMG I said it. Oh and from what I remember from watching Jesus's Son, I was rather fond of the version played during the movie credits.
-
Yes, I know. There are a number of non album songs on I Tunes from Wilco. Let Me Come Home, Just A Kid, a few others I think and I have purchased them all on I Tunes. I know Airline To Heave (alt ver) is not on there. I know I'm annoying for posting this in the first place, but for me it is tricky ground. I have spent quite a bid on Mr. Tweedy. Every Tupelo album twice, UT 7" singles, and all of that stuff. Every Wilco album on CD and Vinyl, a number of CD Singles about 7 soundtracks, 10 t shirts ,15 concerts, concert posters, etc etc. My point is that some stuff in not widely avai

Not always, some soundtracks are not available and on some you have to purchase the entire soundtrack to get the one Wilco song. I just recently spent 6 bucks at a used CD store on Me Myself and Irene for Any Major Dude, and that is cool, except for the rest of the songs being completely awful (except Pete Yorn's one song) . Airline to Heaven (alt version) for example is really hard to come by from the Jesus's Son Soundtrack. Anyway, that is my two cents.

Thank you for your help, your suggestion and link about Google searches has helped in the past as I referred. I will sporadically also look at used CD stores for soundtracks and have had luck, but at some point I feel I have passed my qouta for purchasing of Wilco material and I'm ok with tracking down an out of print soundtrack song if need be, if you know where I'm coming from.
-
I have usually had success with google searches and exploring that way to find a song here or there that I'm searching for. Unfortunately not having luck with a few Wilco nuggets. I refuse to do the bit torrent thing. Maybe that makes me lazy or something, but that seems slimey in some way. Just a long time fan who owns every freaking thing they have done, wanting to fill in couple gaps of my completist mind.
-
Yes I have, and they have removed what I am looking for.
-
Hey, longtime fan who is not overly internet savy and not into certain internet ways. Trying to track down a few Wilco songs that have elluded me and some that are no longer in print from soundtracks and what not. Any help and assistance and pointing me in the right way would be sweet.

I wanted to renew hope in this thread and present some actual new album news: Wait for it: The new album most certainly rocks and doesn't SUCK!
-
I accept partial blame in ruining this thread. This thread deserved better!

You are right in everything you said, and my intention wasn't to be the hipster police. As I stated a few posts above, I feel to say a Wilco record SUCKS is trying to hard to hate and I guess I bit on the bait.
-
I'm ambivalent about your cause, but my wife is in 100% agreement. She really enjoyed Ashes DVD but hated the version of Kingpin. She used to get so excited back in the day when they played that song. The new version has an Egyptian quality about it (which isn't a good thing)

I get where you are coming from and my logic is probably skewed, but in some ways (which may be messed up) I do mean what I said. I would have trouble believing a person who loves music would find little to no joy in most if not all Wilco albums. I know that is skewed but it is how I feel. Well if that isn't you in your avatar, that changes everything.

Ok, Ok. I hate conflict and I guess I resorted to myself 10 years ago , where people would call me a judgemental prick. That being said (here is the part where I keep defending myself). I just was struck with the Wilco records SUCKS angle. That is like saying (in my opinion) Sex SUCKS or Honda Accords SUCK. I think one would be trying hard to hate to say something like that. It is not that everyone has to love Wilco and I can see where it is not someone's bag, but to say any of their albums SUCK strikes a nerve with me. For example, I am by no means a White Stripes fan and Jack White's
