I'm waiting on my copy from the library, but so far I have a bunch of albums for 09 that all kind of seem stuck together with no clear favorite. I'm leaning toward Vetiver's Tight Knit because it so beautiful, but I'm sure as the year progresses a little band called Wilco or The Avetts will rock to top spot.

Well I'm just going to keep trying until it seems I'm begging or until my good name is ruined around here. I came in seeking 5 songs and I have acquired three (2 at the used cd store and one from a blog) I'm left with two I can't seem to get help with and were only released on limited time vinyl, so I'm at the will of the good folks here Childlike & Evergreen (promo 7") Don't You Honeyme (All Over The Place 10" EP) If anyone could help a brother out, before he sounds completely desperate? Trust me, look at my posts throughout time, I'm not just here trying to pick up songs. Wil

Just and FYI, for anyone who wasn't lucky enough and is interested. The Whiskeytown Record Store Day 7" tracks (San Antone/The Great Divide) are now out there. Just go to the hypem.com for links. Also I'm still looking for two Wilco tracks from the complete singles to complete my collection Don't You Honey Me and Childlike & Evergreen if anyone can please help me.

Well, I know the cover influences me, but I'm too old to be a hipster (still trying though and that is lame of me)

I know someone mentioned it earlier, but are we offically calling this the Camel Album? I can see it in 20 years. My son will be telling his friends, "hey my dad has a copy of the Camel Album on vinyl" "No way dude!"

hence why you post on the Wilco message board?

11 pages in 4 hours! God forbid we ever have music to talk about

Wow we always saw the Phillip Seymour Hoffman link, but damn if you dye the hair black, add black eyeliner and make him pale, it is Robert Smith.

I don't know what I was expecting, but when I first saw this cover pop up on the screen I felt nothing but good inside (for whatever that means and is worth). I totally agree with the bad 70's album art reference, but not only is it that, it is very English. Like a bad 70's album art from a mediocre English band like 10cc or something.

Yeah, I remember the surgery, but I guess I thought it was minor and never connected the two. I also prefer the older Tweedy voice where he almost talk/sang, but I too have grown to enjoy the more nuanced or technical singing of the last few records.

Just checking in, Col. Habaplap did you have any luck tracking down those tracks?

The lawyer fees are whipping me?

I will try that one tonight. Thank you

Was the version in IATTBYH in San Fransico? That version captivates me big time. I tried on owl an bear around what i figured was the right time frame, but those links don't list city or song titles. How it the world do you know what song you are downloading?

you guys know that because of boards on the net like this, bands are going to have start announcing leak dates instead of just album release dates. My question is, what will come before leak date?

I have been thinking about this song a lot lately and I feel that this song is a true gem. I have few complaints about Wilco, but I will say that I have felt that the prettier (lack of better term) or more technical Tweedy tries to become vocally a little bit of the magic is lost. I was amazed by YHF upon its release but always thought that Tweedy's vocals were a tad mild or sterile too subtle (even thought the subtle production makes that album a masterpiece). It seems that the YHF demos are the last time we saw that overt vocal range out of Tweedy. Not For The Season displays Tweedy s

I can also honestly say I was hoping for nothing remotely relating to long extended jamminess. I love when critics generalize their own views onto all of us. I can see it now, Wilco returns after Sky Blue Sky, album that left most fans disappointed with its straight forward ness.

The Animal Years was my favorite album that year 2006? Anyway, and I thought The Conquests was really cool. Super underrated, most likely because he doesn't carry on like a petulant rock star.

hey, Col. Habaplap I tried to send you a message but I can't get the message feature to work. Is it still down. Anyway, if you need my email. just let me know via this thread.

I know, and it came from my mind?

Hey, messing around with the owl and bear demos and realized that The Good Part is listed on the YHF engineer demos. Does anyone know if this is the same version that appeared on the War on War single? If it is, I am now just down to Don't You Honey Me (only have on cassette), Childlike & Evergreen (only have on cassette), and Old Maid.
