  1. I am from Kc and live nearby. You are in a good spot..give or take 3 streets around Uptown. Just make sure to lock your car and park closer to Westport side. Some nice homes around there..but some weirdos walk the streets @ night. U must go to Chubby's on Broadway after the show. Right across the street from the Uptown, Open 24/7. I saw Bill Marr last time I was there.Lots of seating..and a seperate bar area. Any questions let me help!
  2. LUCKY! Watching it on tv...not as cool. But the energy you speak of just follows that man. I did get some silly goosebumps. Last time I was @ that arena was in 2004 for a John Kerrry benefit with Springsteen, R.E.M., John Fogerty, and Neil Young. Now it's roadtrip time for Obama. Missouri for Obama http://www.myspace.com/barackobama_mo
  3. No, that really is my name. But, I finally got to see what a moontower looks like in real life while seeing Wilco at the Austin City Limits Festival last year. I have to say though, they are not really that exciting.Moontowers that is. Funny thing, @ ACL I wore a shirt that said "Party at the Moontower", since the movie was filmed in Austin and all...and many Austin townies had not even heard of Dazed and Confused. Next to the Goonies it's one of the all time greatest movies! With some amazing rock-n-roll!
  4. A movie with some of the best rock-n-roll ever is Dazed and Confused. 5. I think Bushy will book "speeches"..at comedy clubs. He's a blast to watch.
  6. Ahhh...Cheese.I wish I could live without it.I swear it off every so often, but it calls me back! The husbands family gives us fresh organic cow's milk every day. They are now making cheese.I am in a good place!
  7. Gosh, 1 out of 4 posts from U A-Man I have to learn something new.My brain is becoming more valuable because of you! What am I gonna do with it? So Cargo Cults...sounds fun!Very interesting. I would love to obtain material wealth through magical thinking. Finally my magical thinking skills will be put to good use. Would this work in Missouri? We have 700 trees on our property to hide in. Could we skip property taxes becaue of our new status? We should all show up to a Wilco show naked and painted.Start a new trend.
  8. Dear, Scubajib Yeah, U are the one who told me, Fatheadfred, and our Wilco gang not to return to Tulsa..although we we nice and polite there??Hardly making a peep. But, that's ok. We loved Cains and the basketball gym...and a 6 pack of canned beer on the floor. The stage was so low I felt like I was looking right into JT's eyes.I still can't get over how many people just hung out @ the bar, sat in the bleechers, in the hallways, etc...totally ignoring the show.I think it was one of my favorites yet.Man, he brought his Dr. to the show. How cool was that? Oh, U also told me to wear my straight
  9. ..and keyboards And he knows how to show some love!
  10. Pat plays a damn fine tamborine as well..
  11. The coolest part about this cool guy being cool is that he did it in flip flops! I do everything in in flip flops...EVERYTHING!
  12. someone has to piss on the sacred VC altar once in awhile.Shake up the Via Chicago tribes a bit. They will thank u when they realize their coolness level has risen.U make people think.
  13. We grow awesome peppers for salsa. Organic-tomatoes, cilantro, basil, onions, beans, corn, lettuce,squash,peppers,cucumbers..etc. We also have a bunch of baby trees in our garden. We planted over 450 trees...but only 70 survived.Hopefully some time in the garden will help.Hoping to grow a money tree so we can retire. Nothing better than picking enough from the garden to make an entire meal!
  14. I could live like that..all painted and naked. I'd do it to avoid property taxes and working. They have lived tax free for 10,000 years.Time they pay up!

  16. http://www.thestrangers.net/?__source=GGL|...angers_Specific Chills! YUMMY! What is it about old vinyl folky and country music that scares the bageezes out of city folk? Sends their mind into wild spirals that conjure up images of half naked inbred hillbillies? I love inbreds!
  17. Here in the midwest we find fringe and jeans goes well nice for any occasion.
  18. Rachael Ray has a killer book out called, "Beheading and Hostage Taking-Do It In Style". Oh, an even better read.."30 minute meals for the busy terrorist".
  19. let's just hope global warming doesn't put an end to American Idol or Omicron Persei 8 will surely attack! I think I am the only person on Earth that has not seen American Idol.Maybe I am from outer space.
  20. That quote says it all. Consider the fact that in every alien movie we strap em down, slice and dice them... or at least try to anyway.Had it not been for Elliot poor E.T. would have been toast. And, I'm pretty sure if anyone is out there they are watching Earth television.
  21. There isn't a more fun venue then the farm! We always have that. And, someday there will be touring Wilco cover band we can follow.I can't wait for that!I actually like the U2 cover band in KC better than U2 now. After that lame St. Louis show where U2 tickets were 100$ I'm over them.Just hope Wilco never gets that big..big where the venues make the band look like tiny ants.Wilco chooses small venues so they can smell fans.
