  1. I haven't read RS in years. I only came across this because a friend who knows I love Wilco saw it and sent me the link. I think the last time I bought a RS was in an airport when I had no other options for reading material.
  2. Sky Blue Sky is #40. Dark Side of the Moon is #3. Axis: Bold as Love is #1. Other interesting selection(s): http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/the-40-greatest-stoner-albums-20130607/wilco-sky-blue-sky-19691231
  3. A nice review from AllMusic: http://www.allmusic.com/album/southeastern-mw0002540499
  4. I said something almost exactly like this to one of my fellow Neko-loving friends today.
  5. Ziggy and Stephen [Marley] and guests remixed Legend, out June 25. I don't know about the rest of you, but Legend was my introduction to Bob Marley and reggae as a whole. You can hear Jim James' remix of "Waiting in Vain" here: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2013/06/06/bob-marleys-legend-gets-a-remix-listen-to-an-exclusive-track/. The "Three Little Birds" remix, also linked in the story above, is pretty good!
  6. Didn't even notice that until now. Perhaps the thread should be renamed to reflect the album name Southeastern.
  7. This is going to be a good summer for new music.
  8. I suppose that was a bit vague. I just recall a long stretch where no songs from W(TA) were performed. Some folks here were speculating that it had something to do with Wilco leaving Nonesuch and starting their own label, but I don't remember any real "answer" or explanation about the absence or low amount of tunes from the record appearing in setlists.
  9. One of my favorite early Wilco live recordings was made there. http://www.sooutoftune.org/concerts/225
  10. So in other words, if you've read Learning How to Die, you can skip more than half of this book.
  11. I haven't looked at setlists for a bit -- does "One Wing" here mark the return of a W(TA) song in the set after a long absence?
  12. That's the only one I know of! This thread inspired me to dig up that disc today...sadly, I only have four tracks from it in my iTunes player. Must have misplaced the others...
  13. Without a doubt. It must have been fairly expensive to construct the actual drum kit.
  14. I can only imagine what kind of budget they had for this.
  15. I'd put my foot on a steamboat I'd sail the ocean 'round.
  16. Not a bad live recording, but it seems so precious compared to their show I just saw this past weekend. I think it's time for another official DBT live release with more muscle.
