  1. Usually, if you can't pull tickets, it's sold out. The Wilco site often doesn't update quickly, and TM often still lists sold-out shows as being for sale (because sometimes, randomly, tickets do become available).
  2. They reported that Chone Figgins may be part of something as well. If the Sox are going to involve Konerko in a trade, they have about 4 months to get it done, or else he'll become a 10 & 5 guy.
  3. My Top 5 are: 1. Automatic 2. Document 3. New Adventures 4. Murmur 5. Life's Rich Pageant Hopefully they plug the guitars in this time around and stop trying so hard to be relevant -- they're their best when they just go and make music with no particular purpose other than to make music (which is why I like New Adventures so much).
  4. I smell lawsuit! Damn Texans!
  5. New Adventures In Hi-Fi is one of the best albums in the REM catalogue. That is all.
  6. My friend is the head chef at Blackbird (he was on an episode of Iron Chef America). I highly recommend it. Good times.
  7. Pat looks like he's about 7-foot tall.
  8. God, Kenny Williams and the Sox have no clue what they're doing. Way to take your farm system from 29th-ranked to dead last for a player that still won't enable you to compete with the Tigers and Indians (and probably not the Twins). What a bad, baffling move.
  9. Frankly, for the money, I'd be staying at the Days Inn Lincoln Park. Although those hotels sound glamorous, you don't really get that much more for the money (especially the Rafaello, Conrad, James, and Monaco). It sounds ludicrous, but save the money and spend it elsewhere (like a really good dinner in Chicago).
  10. Because I always associate the song with Mr. Bennett, I don't anticipate hearing My Darling at these shows.
  11. Hmm, and here I thought that, after English and DeBord, the next one out the door would have been strength and conditioning coach -- but no mention of him. I'm assuming [hoping] he's gone too.
  12. So, only 31 more bowl games to go. Nice. I remember a time where it actually meant something to go to a bowl game. I heard a great stat yesterday on ESPN radio. There have been 81 different teams in college football that have won bowl games since the last time Notre Dame won one. I love it.
  13. Assuming they would have had the same numbers, sure. But that's a big assumption.
  14. Didn't Seattle lose Gil Meche to FA last year for basically the same amount of money per year?
  15. There's a show (I think it's on the Discovery Channel) called Modern Marvels where they film construction crews building various things. This was featured about 2 months ago, but will probably be re-run sometime soon. It looked awesome (especially in HD), and was interesting to see how they went about building it in such a short time frame (they basically had a year and half to build it).
  16. Agreed. Good sightlines. Not bad in the acoustics department. The only bad place to stand is either next to the scorers' table or under the far-end backboard.
  17. Which one was Sweet Relief intended to benefit, Lucinda Williams or Victoria Williams? I get them confused. I know that one was the intended beneficiary of the proceeds of the album, while the other contributed song to the album to benefit the other. I'm confused. Regardless, Boxer is one of the best albums of the year.
  18. So is Florida State going to be able to field a team on New Year's Day?
  19. So basically, if you're a band, it's either use TM to distribute tickets, or play shows at St. Catherine of the Holy Redeamer's high-school gymnasium.
  20. Not really. There's ticketweb and tickets. com and the sort, but those outlets are limited by the exclusive contracts that most major venues sign with Ticketmaster. Check this out: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=p...master+monopoly
  21. If it bothers you that I'm posting about it, "why don't you quit the board?"
