At the 20 minutes and 30 second mark The Wrestler is the greatest movie in history, but only in that moment.

On the other hand, a day game at Wrigley is a whole lotta fun!

The best closer the Red Sox ever had never closed for Boston. Eck! Oh...I voted for Reservations.

IDK. Even if you leave the club just past 2, after getting a ride home and maybe a little late night action, the ones who are partying aren't going to sleep until around 4, only to have to get up 5 hours later. It'd be difficult to maintain stamina in the heart of summer living that lifestyle. Mickey Mantle was special, I guess. The record books show the Cubs having very good yearly win totals in the first twenty years of Wrigley. Since 1940 success has only come in very small patches. The modern era has not been good to the Cubs for whatever reasons: pitching, management, nightlife, that st

And Jim Croce. He was churning out one great song after another in the last couple of years of his life - and not just the hits. -

How about: The negotiations have a 3-2 count with the bases loaded. Good ol' Commissioner Bud has said he might step in to mediate. I think Boston is looking at what the White Sox got for Ozzie and are thinking they should get a better package than one similar to that, especially since Epstein wants to bring a few of his staff with him to Chicago.

10 postseason home runs - he's only been in 2 postseasons!

It would be nice to see either one of those teams off the no-WS-win list. The Rangers are defintely the strongest team left in the mix. I find it no coincidence that all four teams have strength and depth in their bullpens. It's a vital part to any championship team.

So last season Ryan Howard struck out looking to end the NLCS and this year he weakly chops out to end the NLDS, injuring his Achilles while doing so. His new 5 year/$125M contract begins next season at the age of 32. J-Roll is a FA and wants a five year deal, which I would hope no one is foolish enough to provide. I hope the Phillies are looking at the Cubs and understanding what committing to a multitude of long-term contracts for veterans does for an ability to be flexible enough to stay in continual contention. With no more top prospects left in their system the Phils could be a mess 2/3 y
