  1. The cover of the september issue of Ruta 66, THE Spanish rock magazine, is for Mavis; http://ruta66mag.com/
  2. Is he wearing a shirt of the Spanish soccer team? Wilco was in Spain when they won the soccer world trophy
  3. I wonder which Kinks cover he sang [“You’re Not Alone,” a Kinks cover, and dozens more" http://www.twentyfourbit.com/post/733819141/jeff-tweedy-single-ladies-video-beyonce]
  4. Something in the way he sings Attracts me like no other singer Something in the way he moves me...
  5. Yes, that's it! How could I forget about "there's only so much wine you can drink in one life"? I drank too much...beer. Thank you
  6. Jeff sang a song he presented as "a song you probably never have heard of" in his solo set in Madrid, Spain, 7-7- 2010. A beautiful, B-T-esque song. I only remember that the word 'christmas' was in the first strophes. But no reference to it in the Spanish reviews of the show I've read(e.g. http://www.elpais.com/articulo/cultura/Enorme/Jeff/Tweedy/elpepucul/20100708elpepucul_3/Tes). My feeling is that is a "Mavis song"
  7. I would like that Tweedy re-record his vocal parts in YHF. He sings so much better nowadays...
  8. I agree on both. Fantastic interview by the way. Will Jeff improve Ry Cooder's last collaboration with Mavis?
  9. Well, it semms that they could have sounded better!: Wilco Swerve Past Sound Problems in Epic Spanish Set http://www.spinner.com/2010/05/29/wilco-primavera-barcelona-review/
  10. Wilco now in the headlines of El Pais, the main Spanish newspaper. "Irreproachable Wilco" http://www.elpais.com/articulo/cultura/Irreprochable/Wilco/elpepucul/20100529elpepucul_2/Tes
  11. I second this, in particular for YHF. Live versions are much better imho. Jeff's voice sounds much better nowadays
  12. Surely the world will end before that happens
  13. Was the 'You never know' in WTA cowritten by Jay? So it seems from the 2nd page in this link...
  14. I was to enter rehab from Wilco addiction but this recording makes me fall again in this unbeatable vice. Next time maybe. Thanks!
  15. "Oar" is completed (at least, without the extra tracks of the recent expanded edition) http://www.beck.com/record_club
  16. Heressy! Among contemporary peers, no one above Wilco these days, sorry. For me, they are at the same level than all the greats you know well
  17. «I've got a feeling» «It Won't Be Long» «She Said She Said»
  18. This is the closest to Wilco I ever heard without being a mere imitation. Good stuff their new album Endless air. Thank you!
  19. "You Can't Do that" "Why don't we do it in the road" "Julia" "I am the walrus" "Dear Prudence" "You won't see me"
  20. I cannot imagine myself neither standing during "Sunken treasure" nor sit during "Monday"
  21. Silence after huge amounts of all the former
  22. In Firenze (Italy), 11-13-09, the intro was from Blue Danube (Johann Strauss). The outro was silence
  23. 1) A Ghost is Born 2) Summerteeth 3) Sky Blue Sky 4) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 5) Being There 6) Wilco (The Album) 7) Kicking Television 8) A.M. Usually YHF was on top. But, after the Chicago residency shows heard from Owl and Bear, I have to admit that the original YHF CD sounds to me “anemic” (paraphrasing Jeff talking on the sound of AGIB at the time of SBS release) and I much prefer the live versions of those songs
  24. Great to know that one of the men responsible for the “mercurial sound” likes Wilco. Is there any thread on the opinions of other “great names” on Wilco? You know, Dylan, Young, the boss, Costello, Replacements, Petty, Pearl Jam, etc? For example, if I remember well, I read in Dylan’s Chronicles something on the “American band Wilco”, in the context of Guthrie songs, without any opinion...(but the fact was that Bragg was not even mentioned by Bob, which I thought was denigrating for this man)
