  1. Wondering if anyone got any good photos from the show? My weak digital camera was unsuccessful (though i did get some good videos with it). Thinking of making some album art for the taping. I'd love to see some photos!
  2. http://prairiehome.publicradio.org/stations/ "Archives of each show are posted the Monday following broadcast. Visit the Archive section of the site to browse through them all." I went to the show @ Roy Wilkins in St. Paul on Friday (Which was, as I've been pointing out , my first Wilco show!) and my parents were up from South Dakota visiting me in the cities. They know I love Wilco and as they were driving home they listened to Prairie Home Companion. My mom texted me to let me know they sounded great .
  3. Just ordered the poster from last night's show at the Kung Fu store. Looks cool
  4. Was my first Wilco show (1st for the 4 friends I went with as well) and it was fantastic. Got there about 45 min before Liam Finn went on and got second row from the stage which was an unbelievable experience. Setlist full of barn burners with a few of the quieter numbers peppered in nicely (which actually helped mask some of the venue's sound limitations). After opening with Wilco (the song) I thought A Shot In The Arm helped set the tone nicely. Energy straight through with Bull Black Nova and You Are My Face (which may be my favorite from SBS). After the dust settled IATTBYH pulled us throu
  5. My first ever Wilco show (and the first for four of my buddies) and it was absolutely wonderful. Got there as early as we could and got second row from the front rail when we arrived! Still hasn't quite hit me that I was just a few feet from Wilco last night. Saw Mikael walking across the street from us in the opposite direction while we were heading around the back of the venue pre-show. I of course wanted to run across the street and say hello, get a picture, etc. but he was with his wife?/girlfriend? and I didn't want to bug him before a show (Did yell out his name after we had walked a lit
  6. T-minus 4 hrs until my first Wilco show!!!!
  7. I love that THAT is how he finds out.

  9. Well I did it. I finally got around to watching arrested development. I had heard of this show on and off and had always considered it a show I "should probably watch soon". A friend recently allowed me to borrow all 3 seasons. I finished the entire series in about 3 days. And I just finished my second run through it. Absolutely hilarious. Cannot say it enough. Let the quotes fly!
  10. I would definitely add Andrew Bird's "Noble Beast" to the list mentioned above. A timeless masterpiece. Well, in one man's opinion. EDIT: Thought I'd mention a couple more albums I really dig from this year's batch. Both of these musicians I had heard of previously but had never heard their tunes until recently. Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca: Newcomer to the DP but I love it. Intricate, ironic, intoxicating. St. Vincent - Actor: Just a fabulous record. Very talented, very beautiful . One album I am not getting into... The Avett Brothers - I and Love and You: I had my doubts abou
  11. I had heard about her a little bit here and there and finally decided to check out the music. I think its wonderful. She is touring with Andrew Bird coming up now it appears (Check them out on Austin City Limits Oct. 28), who I am also a big fan of. Great guitarist, gorgeous vocals, and not to mention very beautiful . Oh, and she can play a mean Dig A Pony: http://liveweb.arte.tv/fr/video/St__Vincent_en_direct_de_la_Route_du_Rock/553/
  12. I'll be there with 4 friends. My first Wilco show!

  15. I was thinking the same thing today (fingers crossed for Chicago).
  16. The more I listen to this the more I love it.
  17. Favorites: Deeper Down, One Wing, Bull Black Nova, Sonny Feeling, Dark Neon Like A Lot: Solitaire, I'll Fight, Country Disappeared, Everlasting Everything So-So (Its Wilco!): You Never Know, You & I, Wilco (the song) I like Sonny Feeling a lot. I didn't so much upon first listen but after a few more spins I realized it. While I do like the album a lot I think this is one of the few tracks that has some distinctive, varying sections of instrumentals. The harmonies are beautiful. Big drums, solid key/organ play, and excellent subtle guitar work in the background leading into a raucous en
  18. The play count doesn't lie: One Wing (43) Deeper Down (40) Wilco (the song) (37) I'll Fight (35) You Never Know (35) Bull Black Nova (32) Country Disappeared (32) Sonny Feeling (32) Solitaire (27) Everlasting Everything (26) You & I (24) Dark Neon (20) Thought Dark Neon would be higher. I think its one of the strongest songs on the list.
