  1. we're cool but you're being a tease. EDIT: 400 posts (!) woo. Still Out of Tune though!
  2. 1. Bill Callahan - Apocalypse 2. Panda Bear - Tomboy 3. Smith Westerns - Dye It Blonde 4. Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks - Mirror Traffic 5. PJ Harvey - Let England Shake Expected to be in/near this list: Wilco - The Whole Love St. Vincent - Strange Mercy Tom Waits - Bad As Me
  3. Here's an acoustic version of Surgeon and a cover of Tom Waits' "Tango Till They're Sore" (!): http://www.spin.com/articles/exclusive-st-vincent-unplugs-covers-tom-waits
  4. Another little preview write-up of some tracks: http://timeoutchicago.com/music-nightlife/music/14916169/wilco%E2%80%99s-the-whole-love
  5. Askin for it! Aw, come on guuuuuuuys. I wanna talk about a record none of us have heard!
  6. If you thought the "Almost" thread was bad, feast your eyes on this: http://board.ateasew...5097674&st=1300 66 pages of nonsense and hell. I want this thing to leak/stream even more now, if only to shut down these trolling dick-jokers. I understand its fun to razz people anxiously awaiting a record's release, but there are other areas where you can raise your post count. Rather frustrating for folks who actually want to talk about the album.
  7. Really excited for this record. Her sound seems to be growing more assured with each successive album and the 2 Strange Mercy tracks released so far have not been a disappointment in the least! Also, she was on Letterman last night:
  8. Speaking of new websites, it looks like the Decibels Per Minute site has been slightly updated with a graphic of a record. Still stays "Coming Soon" however.
  9. I imagine there will be a lengthy discussion regarding which bonus tracks should have made the cut and which album tracks we could do without. Or maybe it will seem perfect! Either way I'm excited to hear the differences between the two versions of Black Moon.
  10. At this point I feel like the band is going to make it available for streaming before it leaks in the traditional (hah!) sense. For me it will be "officially" released whenever it's out there for listening. It's like Christmas, only you don't know what day it will be, and then bam! You get a wonderful present. I understand the desire to wait for the announced release date and all that goes along with it, but at the end of the day, in my opinion, it's about what's on the disc, files, etc. and not a calendar date (AmIrightDavidFricke!?). Plus the official release date will still bring some great
  11. Seeing as how the "Almost" thread went off the tracks a bit, I figured we could start fresh! Here are the facts: 1. The record HASN'T leaked yet. 2. Promo copies/streams HAVE been sent out to some in the industry. 3. A couple thin reviews have started popping up 4. Fans are anxiously awaiting... something! Be it a leak, stream, etc. 5. We are almost exactly 1 month away from the official release date 6. Tomorrow is the start of a new week. 7. We will all continue to hit refresh.
  12. I've seen the rankings thread countless times since becoming a member here but I've never chimed in. Who knows. Just echoes, but that's alright! Still fun to see where everyone is at this moment. 1. AGIB 2. YHF 3. Summerteeth 4. Being There 5. Sky Blue Sky 6. W(TA) 7. AM
  13. Just got a text from Pat. They lost it. Apparently gave the only copy to someone named "Last.FM" and it got scratched
  14. I had a front row seat for The Whole Thing while at work today. Also, somebody named Alex won a signed deluxe CD today. It wasn't me.
  15. Happy birthday Jeff! 44 years young. Still setting the kids on fire.

    Wilco

I don't have an iPhone myself and am not too familiar with the Wilco app, but I assume they will just update it with lyrics and such from The Whole Love. As opposed to re-doing the whole app I mean. I would recommend checking it out closer to release date and there will probably be something about it on wilcoworld.net. Also, welcome to the board!
  17. That is a great article. Oddly, it seems to have increased my excitement while steadying my anticipation. The more in-depth song descriptions feel like a little preview as opposed to the teaser that had me
  18. Hey, look at this line: "It's in the cards, (oh, oh) Get Well Soon, EVERYBODY!!" So it appears that's where the working title came from.
