this is a problem with all corporate music, not just country. the production sucks nowadays. its too glossy and it doesnt have soul. corporate country sounds extra cheesy as a result. i totally agree with this. hank williams rules.

i cant wait for the box set with 40 page liner notes.

you know, i really liked time the revelator and hell among the yearlings. i feel soul journey is pretty weak by comparison. i think its good, i just dont think its as good as her other releases. her cover of black star was really really awesome though, hah.

i think jeff plays this one in plain g, in standard tuning. for the simple twist of fate part, he just slides the c shape up two frets to form a d. it sounds sorta like the one he did for the im not there soundtrack.

yeah, ive had quite a few different guitars. my favorites are the mim fenders. its weird, cheaper guitars are better a lot of the time.

i just got one actually, 279 used. missing a knob, but it plays great.
