despite the fact that tweedy has done a pretty good version of one of these songs, this album can not be covered in its entirety without either mangling either it, or the reputation of the band who would undertake such a herculean task, or, more likely, both. the material is simply too close to Dylan himself for anyone to be able to pull it off. It wouldn't ring true. Plus, who could possibly remember all the words to 'Idiot Wind?'

Just think that record is more suited to the UT or early Wilco thing than where they are now. The rootsy/bluegrassy/country thing isn't one of Nels' stronger points. Check out the Yung Wu (a Feelies' side project) version of this song.
