Undoubtedly a flashy piece of guitar work- but it didn't seem to me to be either gentle or weepy, which dare i say makes it inappropriate.

I have a similar but cheaper one made by Artec (Korean) and it has served me well. It's a budget-shelf piece of gear but does what it should and has never let me down.

some electric/tronic devices have a current switch built in to go between 120 (US) and 220 (Europe) volts.
