it doesn't say so. but, i'd be a bit surprised if they didn't do so. i think the details will change in the future, but i can't see any bonus tracks being added at all. i pre-ordered Rubber Soul, Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, and Abbey Road from hmv (cos they were only

amazon.co.uk is now listing the remastered albums, coming out on 9th sept. but, it is saying they are single disc (apart from past masters - which i assume is because they've combined past masters 1 & 2 together). if this is true, it's mighty annoying - cos it means they're not likely to have mono and stereo mixes on them, especially when the white album is single disc too. hmmmm.

here's feel a change comin on now, i hated the other track a lot, but, after one quick listen of this, i'm liking it much much more than that one. the lyrics are much much better, there's a melody (although not too original), the guitar sound is not shit, and the accordian works much better here. -

apparently newsom has played the whole of her next album live recently in a two and a half hour set. read all about it here i've also heard that it will be out early september and that there are 17 songs. yes - 17! this is now shaping up to be a brilliant year for new albums. .....17

i've got the album through getting: Vintage - The Very Best of Moby Grape. wouldn't say the sound is great, but i think that's probably got a lot to do with the recording of it not being so brilliant. seeing as how it's got the whole first album running in order i'd recommend anyone wanting the album to get that. that first album is so brilliant, though, that i'm let down by everything they did after it. edit: i've already said all this on page one. ok, i seem to no longer have a purpose - so i'm off to bury myself in the garden.

i'm still a little unsure about a few of these songs, but the ones i like, i like a lot

trouble is, it's not only that i don't think much of the song (which isn't very memorable at all) - the big problem for me is that i hate the sound the band is producing, and seeing as how all the other songs would have been recorded in a very short space of time i imagine that the sound is going to be the same across the whole album. i think if you're going to get someone to play horns and accordian on the music you really need to draw up some charts for them to follow otherwise it just ends up sounding as interesting as it does on this song. or, you have some shit hot session band who know h -

after hearing the whole song a couple of times, i'm liking it even less than i did before. the drumming's interesting, but that's all - other than the fact that you've got bob dylan's voice, over the top of it, i'd be hard pressed to tell this band from any other bog-standard blues/cajun band playing today in some bar somewhere in america. the worst thing of all is that shocking electric guitar tone - surely they could have picked a better sound than that? it all sounds so half-arsed to me. i've got a strong feeling i'm going to hate this album. -

i think when this streams we need to have a 'red river shore' vs 'beyond here lies nothin' fight just to see how they stack up next to each other, seeing as how i've read a couple of times how the new songs have that feel about them (and not just simply because they both have accordian - cos that would be a bit silly); and how people here hear a time out of mind feel too. -

well, i don't like the sound of that much. it just sounds like it's going to be like the last album, but with an accordian and some horns playing the bog-standard "call and response" riffs instead of guitars. what happened to the brillaint liquid arrangements of "love and theft"? yes this is 30 secs, and yes i'm still right - before someone questions me and my concrete views! -

which means when you play the george harrison solos, on the earlier music, you'll be able to do every little bit at a time rather than play it all the way through. it is going to be TOTALLY historically accurate, right? i love Delbert Harrison, or whatever his name is, he looks SO MUCH like his dad. when he played at that concert for George it was uncanny! he's also got his finger really on the pulse. all music in the future will only be heard via computer games or adverts. it'll be amazing - complete each level to hear the next song. it'd be funny if all these prats had the same attitude

Grandaddy (New Jason Lytle Solo Album)
Synthesizer Patel replied to Wild Frank's topic in Someone Else's Song
Sumday is a great album. Not as interesting as Software Slump, but I'd say I like it more for some reason. I've heard that Jason's new music sounds like Grandaddy, which is good as long as it's not Fambly Cat Grandaddy. -
yeah, i've listened up to cardiff in the sun so far. moped eyes, inaugural trams & cardiff in the sun are great - but i'm currently with you about proggy pub rock type thing, but at least it's different. i don't hate it, but i have to say it's not my favourite style of music that they play. also, i think the track listing with Mountain as track 2 is correct - that's how i've seen it listed on a number of cd sites, but maybe they've got it wrong.

So, do you think they're good albums? Damn it, i missed it! Was it any good? Is it still streaming somewhere? I'm downloading the album as I type.

that's a good call. great album.

Backwards Guitar -Guitar in Reverse
Synthesizer Patel replied to yermom's topic in Someone Else's Song
the midget is speaking forwards really. it's just that he spoke backwards and then they reversed it to make him speak forwards again and, seeing as how nobody is quite as good at speaking backwards as they are fowards, it naturally sounds very weird. i can speak sideways.
