At the moment, I'm actually liking the album less as a whole than I am liking the tracks individually. I'm not too sure why, and hopefully this opinion will change, because I actually like all the tracks; but I found myself drifting off a bit when I was listening to the whole album yesterday.

They might very well not be mastered (I can't say for sure), but you seem certain that they aren't. I've got a very strong feeling though, that you're going to be disappointed over this point. I guess we'll find out on Monday when they give away a song for free, unless they're still only putting out the 'unmastered' tracks. Yeah, I wasn't thinking so much about the song The Man, more like a couple of other songs off their first album, but you can hear it in The Man too. I can hear some Little Feat too definately, as you and Solace have said - not so much in the sound, but more in the style.

Yeah, I can hear that too. I can also hear a lot of Patto in Walken (especially the sound of the guitars), I know they played The Man at the start of shows for a while, so clearly they like them.

It's up on a few blogs, so I think people should be able to find it for themselves now. Although you didn't personally help me out, cheers for the help you gave to the others.

I'll just say now that I think they have been mastered. The mp3 quality is just low, very low. And you can quote me on that.

I thought it was Ecky Thump, from The Goodies TV Show - it's a martial art from the North of England.

Yeah, they are only 128kbps - I have absolutely no doubt they will sound better on cd or vinyl.

I really thought I'd like Walken more than I do. Again, I've only listened to it through once, but the vocals don't sound as happy and carefree as they seemed to live. The guitars solo is cool though - especially the one right at the end, which is barely a solo, but is just cool. You Are My Face and Either Way are good, again, only after one listen. This is shaping up to be an album I'll like a lot.

It's a shame they've moved it from Camber Sands, as it's pretty close to where I live, and Minehead is an eternity away. Camber Sands is pretty grim though, on a hot day where I live you get the urge to go to the coast, and when you turn up at Camber/Dungerness/New Romney (that whole area) you start to wonder why the hell you bothered. Good place to go shrimping though.
